Want to meet American Idol star Adam Lambert? Here’s how!

Adam Lambert has joined forces with AT&T and The Trevor Project for a brand new, special competition.

The
‘Whataya Want From Me’ singer will be working with the LGBTQ charity
and American phone company and offering fans the chance to come and meet
him in Hollywood, in person.














The American Idol
star is throwing his weight behind the new ‘Live Proud’ campaign, which
“invites the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning
(LGBTQ) community and beyond to take part in an effort centered on
awareness, empowerment, and most importantly, pride.” Fans can enter the
competition by submitting a photo, picture or story which best
represents an AT&T “Live Proud” moment.“I want to encourage
LGBTQ youth to live proud and let their voice be heard,” said Lambert.
“Whether it’s changing a status on Facebook or kissing in public, live
free.”

Unfortunately for British, European or Australian fans, the competition is only open to those living
in the US and from the entries, a lucky 10 winners will be given the
chance to watch Adam perform at a small concert in LA, before spending
time with the star. VIP winners will also receive travel accommodations,
an exclusive meet-and-greet and private concert.

A message on the
competition’s official Facebook page explains that “The Trevor Project
is the leading national organization providing crisis and suicide
prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and
questioning youth” and that “AT&T’s collaboration with Adam Lambert
was based upon Adam’s compassionate work and bold influence in the LGBTQ
community.”

You have until June 30 to get your entries in and you can enter here.

It’s been a big month for Adam and he picked up yet another award last week, later tweeting his thanks to fans saying:“So
honored to have received the Chinese Music Award for Fav International
Artist tonight!! Thank u Channel V! I had so much fun performing!”

Rihanna’s “Stay” is here to stay … one way or another.


When RiRi performed the slow-burn ballad solo on SNL earlier this year, and then again with Mikky Ekko at the Grammys in February, America got to see a new, more vulnerable side to the perpetually hard-shelled pop diva.
And America has gotten to see a whole lot of “Stay” covers, too; from
Vin Diesel’s indescribable basement-karaoke rendition to Rebecca
Black’s latest bid for relevancy, we’ve rounded up the most memorable
ones thus far:


The award for best straight cover goes to X Factor‘s Fifth Harmony, who released an acoustic version of the song that’s arguably better than anything they did on the show:

The second best goes to another reality show contestant, Adam Lambert.
The ex Idol-ite has taken to performing “Stay” during his own shows and

Grammy-nominated remixer Dave Audé headlines Boi Thursday

Proof that music knows no boundary comes this week when straight DJ/remixer Dave Audé headlines the very gay night Boi Thursday at Winston’s Supperclub. But then again, without the gays, DJs probably wouldn’t have a job.
So how will the Grammy-nominated, in-demand A-list DJ prepare for his soon-to-be Dallas gay fans? Rich Lopez chatted with Audé from his home in Los Angeles:



“I don’t think about what I’m gonna bring too much — the night before
I’ll think about some of it,” says Audé. “I could play Dave Audé stuff
all night even but I’m not gonna do one type of thing. I’ll just play
everything.”
But if he does play his own work,
that would hardly be a disappointment. His catalog includes remixes of
Rihanna, Madonna and Adam Lambert to name a few —  all gay faves. And
his current projects are just as impressive and will likely be dotting
gay dance floors for months to come.

People around the world were talking about
Miami Beach Gay Pride because their headliner was Adam Lambert,
appearing at his first gay pride festival. (He will perform at the Life
Ball in Vienna May 25 and Pittsburgh Pride June 15.) Adam's time in
South Beach was jam-packed—he held a press conference on Saturday,
received the key to the city on Sunday, and was constantly mobbed by
fans every step of the way. This may be what led to a somewhat truncated
concert later that night. Nonetheless, the show and festival attracted
the biggest audience ever—including quite a few diehard Lambert fans who
set up chairs in front of the stage 12 hours before the show even
started! Congrats to everyone who helped make it such a great weekend.
