Re AI and Candice's cover of Love Song
Do you remember Tommy's tweet then and Atopians wondered about Adams opinion of it, well Adam delivered today: Michael Slezak@michaelslezaktv12h@adamlambert Oh Adam, if you missed the last 5-6 weeks, take 120 seconds and watch this: @candiceai12 covers THE CURE www.youtube.com/watch?v=7acuT6Sydc4&feature=youtu.be Adam Lambert@adamlambert12h @michaelslezaktv WOW WOW WOW! CHILLZ. Ok those 2 are my favs. @candiceai12 covers THE CURE www.youtube.com/watch?v=7acuT6Sydc4&feature=youtu.be …”@tommyjoeratliff10 Apr Why are people clapping so much of that god awful version of "love song" on idol. Ugh! What the hell was that? #blasphemy My 2cents: I very much understand Tommy's POV: Imagine someone covering a song of someone you loved for years and years (and we know Tommy is a "Curebert" .... just imagine? What would our comment be?) Ya, but Adam changes up songs all the time. Candice did a fabulous job and made it her own. Her vocal was outstanding! Tommy's tweet kind of told me a lot about his creativity quotient. I think Tommy was very harsh --and I have to say that while I am not a huge fan of Candice, I think that was the high-point of this season. (Excluding Larazo leaving!)

Absolutely, Q3! The only "moment" of the season so far! (Besides Lazaro leaving)

The thelambertluvva post about percentage of fake or empty Twitter followers peaked my curiosity because I also have been suspicious of Jordin's large following given her concert draws. What I hope one of the knowledgeable people on this board can tell me is how these bogus accounts are created, where do they come from? People create and sell Twitter accounts. People bundle and sell Twitter accounts. buytwitteraccounts.org/ There are spambots that Tweet from spammer accounts. There are Twitter accounts are created by automated computer code -- bots -- that specialize in retweeting. Basically, Twitter is full of fake accounts. On Jordan's Twitter Followers, a large number of these are from when she toured with the Jonas Brothers and their fans followed her. She has been active on Twitter a long time and many of her Twitter follower accounts are old and long abandoned. But she Tweets a lot and has a large Twitter fanbase...http://twittercounter.com/JordinSparks Here is a good analysis of some top celebs on Twitter: gizmodo.com/5994621/which-celebrities-have-the-most-fake-twitter-followersI dunno. I still believe the figure that most of her followers are fake. The Jonas Brothers are not that popular (didn't they cancel concerts) and how many times have I heard that being an opener doesn't really increase one's fan base. And wouldn't that be more of a spike around when the concerts were? I bet if she had her own tour now, that she would not be able to fill venues as large as Adam could. Other than dating Jason Derulo, I just don't see anything in her (her last single and movie flopped) that warrant an average of 8K new followers a day. A telltale sign for me is that in the previous two days on TwitterCounter, her followers were exactly 11,033. What are the odds that two days in a row have the exact same number of followers?

I wonder sometimes if people get some kind of masochistic thrill from relaying stories about how people are always OOH WHATEVER HAPPENED TO ADAM?? and all that jazz. I see it a lot in this fandom and I am mystified by it, and I'm not callin out anyone in particular here it's just something I've been noticing a lot lately. It's like, ever see that SNL sketch called "Debbie Downer" where everyone is having fun and Debbie (played by Rachel Dratch) randomly brings up orphans with malaria or something LOL. Just saying, yea I'm sure these encounters happen, but....do we really need to hear about them? LOL. I WANT TO LIVE IN MY BUBBLE WHERE EVERYTHING IS BLACK AND YELLOW AND NOTHING HURTS!!! All we can do it hope for the best and try and believe his team is working on shit to keep growing his visibility and whatnot. *shrugs*
But nevertheless there will ALWAYS be people who don't follow pop culture or whatnot who will always wonder what happened to so and so, even if he becomes the biggest star evah.
Anyways, on another note, I was perusing the Idol related posts here and while I agree that weekly exposure on TV is AMAZING, I have now cooled considerably towards him having any kind of judgeship association with Idol. Yeah I wanted him to nab it this go around but that was before we came to see this season IS THE ALL EVIL SUCCUBUS OF ALL THINGS GOOD IN THE ENTIRE KNOWN UNIVERSE and I don't think I could stomach him being involved with Idol if they were to keep circling the drain like this. The judges are awkward and mostly terrible, the talent isn't that memorable, the manipulation--which was always present before but never to this level--is ridiculous and I'm pretty sure the judges are spouting off whatever predetermined crap Nigel wants them to say. And I think I'd throw something at the TV if I ever witnessed Adam becoming some producer mouthpiece.
The ONLY way I'd ever think it was a good plan is if the shows producers were canned and they regrouped and took into account all the amazing minor tweaks people have been suggesting for years, and ofc got an amazing feel good panel like the voice. But considering people have been suggesting these minor tweaks FOR YEARS AND THEY STILL ARE DOING THE SAME CRAP I MEAN BURT BACHARACH NIGHT ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME is not giving me any kind of faith that anything will ever, ever, ever change.
Speaking of The Voice...ofc it would be a better show for him to be on like someone mentioned, but ISN'T HE ALREADY ON IT??? Hmmm....lololol
But yeah. TV exposure. AMAZING. I hope DMG gets him tons! But Idol? Meh. MAYBE and I mean MAAAAYBE if he was some kind of mentor and they gave Jimmy the boot it would be ok, but...idk man. Yeah. I've really done a 180 on this whole Idol thing.
BTW HE DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO JUDGE PALTRY SINGING SHOWS WHEN HE'S IN A SATANIC SEX CULT! THOSE THINGS KEEP YOU VERY VERY BUSY!

What did I just lose a year? My position on Idol judgeship hasn't changed - JUST SAY NO! It is an ego monster that eats artists credibility.
