May Day (May 1) is an ancient Northern Hemisphere spring festival and usually a public holiday; it is also a traditional spring holiday in many cultures.
Mayday is an emergency procedure word used internationally as a distress signal in voice procedure radio communications. It derives from the French venez m'aider, meaning "come help me".[
So on this May Day, I am sending out an international “distress signal in voice procedure”. That is, I am missing the sound of his voice and I am distressed!!
Sure we got some photo teases yesterday. But that did not cure me. It just made me pull out my calendar and start to count the days, weeks and months until we get new music. Urgh!

Adam was in the audience with his good friend, Glamily member, choreographer of GNT, and moon sister, Brooke. Brooke also choreographed Camden, NJ girl group, “Sophisticated Sisters”, who performed on last night’s episode of DWTS.

Adam is shown in the audience at 2:23, and a few more times toward the end. The entire performance is worth watching so I really recommend not just skipping to the Adam bits.

Fostering a cat leads to a lot more

I've always considered myself a dog person. What’s not to love about a warm, furry creature who greets you like you’re Beyoncé every time you walk through the door, even if you’ve just gone to take out the trash?
Sure, dogs don’t always have great breath, but frankly you probably don’t either. And do you hear them complaining? (Don’t open your mouth to check; your dog will seize the opportunity to French-kiss you. After all, Beyoncé, you’re irresistible.)
I don’t dislike cats, but they’re as moody and as devious as teenagers. Once, at a friend’s house, a cat tried to kill me by leaving a little ball on the top step of a flight of stairs. As I slipped and bounced, clutching in vain for the railing, the cat stood on the landing, washing its paws, already bored with the slapstick show it had created.
About two years ago, my kids began lobbying for a cat.
“No,” I said firmly. “We have a dog and two frogs.”
“Frogs?” my youngest asked, perplexed.
“Those little green things? The ones you begged for? The ones I’ve been feeding and caring for ever since we bought them?”
But my kids persisted. Their lives were incomplete—why, they were regular Oliver Twists—without a cat.
Right after their lobbying campaign began in earnest, I scrolled through the Chevy Chase community Listserv and saw a message from a rescue group seeking foster families for cats. The perfect solution: Fostering would let my kids have the cat-owning experience without actually committing us to 15 years of cat care.
We swung by the group’s headquarters and picked up Kayla, a pretty little calico, a few days later. She came with an alarming amount of stuff: food, a cat carrier, a litter box and litter, dishes, a collar, toys with feathers on them. …You would have thought she was American Idol’s Adam Lambert, heading out on tour.
We brought Kayla home, gave her some treats and water, and let her explore. The dog sniffed her, the kids petted her, and Kayla attacked a bouquet of flowers, wrestling it to its death. Finally we all settled down to sleep. But at 3 a.m., I was startled awake by the sound of feet scuffing against the wood floor.

American Idol and The Voice go head-to-head tonight!

NOTE: Normally I do not post non-Adam news but tonight and next Wednesday’s head-to-head battle will between the top two voice competitions will effect Adam. Idol has already been beaten as the #1 Reality TV show by both The Voice and DWTS. Now we will the first real assault on Idol in years. Plus, since we are having a May Takeover Day, and Brian May blogged about The Voice UK earlier this week, I classify this as a May-Lambert special topic.

Sorry Bri, I usually agree with you but I mostly like The Voice and the blind auditions are really just a small part of the show.
Last March, NBC announced that The Voice would go head-to-head against American Idol on March 8th.
But now, The Voice is going head-to-head one week earlier than originally planned. It appears that American Idol’s sagging ratings, and NBC’s overall ratings issues, have insprired the “peacock network” to go up against the veteran show one week earlier than planned.
Next week will be the BIG showdown when The Voice unveils their Top 12 on that night between 8-9 pm, overlapping Idol’s 2 hour Top 3 performance show on FOX.
But this earlier than expected battle should be fun preview to watch. It will be interesting to see the overnight ratings and see who wins this one!
March 18, 2013: Singing contestants won't be the only ones battling it out for a spot at the top. According to TVLine.com, NBC is planning to go head-to-head with juggernaut American Idol this Spring. As Idol's Top 3 contestants fight to the finish on Wednesday, May 8th, The Voice will air an episode directly opposite the show as it reveals its own Top 12 contenders.
NBC pulled a similar stunt last fall when it aired opposite FOX's The X Factor. The move paid off for the peacock network which won the night, delivering over 3 million more viewers than the competition. The scheduling ploy enraged X Factor creator Simon Cowell to the point of calling it, "nothing short of dirty tricks."
Season 4 of The Voice, featuring new judges Sharira and Usher, will kick off on March 25th. American Idol's two-night Season 12 finale will be broadcast on May 15 and 16.

this month it was announced that Adam Lambert had partnered with The
Trevor Project and AT&T for a special contest, but fans can also
help raise money for the organisation via Twitter.
Lambert has
teamed up with the charity and the U.S. cell phone provider to offer
followers the chance to win a place at an intimate concert along with
attend an exclusive 'meet and greet', but he has now revealed
information on another way to to fundraise for The Trevor Project, which
is an LGBT crisis and suicide prevention service provider.
Writing
on his official social networking page over the weekend, the
'Trespassing' superstar explained that AT&T will donate 50¢ (32p) to
the aforementioned organisation for every 'retweet' the message
receives:
"I’ve teamed up w/ @att, @trevorproject. For each
