Hello Revlisacat - and others, I hope!!
Don't know of many Adamtopians who will be at Burning Man this year; nevertheless, here is an update!! I would post on the Burning Man site in Members Only; but no one has been there since March. :(
All 50,000+ tickets are sold . . . and the Playa planners are getting ready for this gift to the universe; this spectacular art and music event.
I've been 'promoted'!! This year I'll help supervise Emergency Station 9! Can you see my Playa Plumage? I'm struttin' since they asked me! I still hold out hope that Adam may drop in (he flew in last time!);, or, at least, I'll be treated to 'The Big Black Man Show' at Center Camp. Allan Louis at midnight is an adventure in performance!
LindaG23; Hoopla; will you be there? I'm ready to make my mashed-potato monument to 'The Man'- and, this year, I'll swim in the ethereal Pyramid Lake before I head home.
Okey dokey . . . back to your regular programming . . . .

I especially like this part..  Also working against the “three” seasons? Perceived highs from the season before. In season three’s case, it was the final thisclose vote tally between season two’s Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard. In season six’s case, it was the ratings smash that was season five, when Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee battled for the top spot. And in season nine’s case, it followed Lambert. ‘Nuff said. |

This quote is what Idol diehards, like me, believe. That every 3rd season is bad! Seasons 3, 6, 9 all unremarkable. So basically, season 12 never had a chance! And in season nine’s case, it followed Lambert. ‘Nuff said.I just watched Idol's first hour during Voice commercial breaks and Idol's second hour -- and every song, all I could think was "Adam would have done better" -- both shows! They did standards for the second performance on Idol and I would love, love, love to hear Adam sing a standard, not updated like Feeling Good (MUSE arrangement) but in classic 40's style. ETA: The three's theory is pretty good. It has 3 parts -- 1. Season 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 etc winners would be big stars: Kelly, Carrie, Cook and Scotty. Looks pretty good. 2. Season 2, 5, 8, 11, 14 etc #2 would be the biggest stars: Clay, Kat, Adam and Jessica -- good until Jessica. P2 is bigger. 3. Season 3, 6, 9 and 12 will be boring seasons. This part is perfect!! |

I think the stars are aligning for a spectacular burn this year and Emergency Station 9 couldn't be in better hands, just add another couple of colorful layers to that tutu. Earlier, I was mostly joking about Adam's no pants photo. I thought I'd share a more serious idea. There are 3 photos in the Skingraft fashion show set. Related post near the bottom here: atop.proboards.com/thread/21/adam-lambert-timeline?page=9 Taking the label Diamond Dog as a clue, it is possible that the no pants photo shows us an Adamized version of David Bowie's controversial cover art for his Diamond Dogs album. From Wiki: The cover art features Bowie as a striking half-man, half-dog grotesque painted by Belgian artist Guy Peellaert. It was controversial as the full painting clearly showed the hybrid's genitalia. Very few copies of this original cover made their way into circulation at the time of the album's release.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_DogsWhile I don't believe Adam is actually showing us his genitalia, he may have intended it to look that way. Then, again, the photographer may have caught him before he was fully dressed and that made him think about being a Diamond Dog. |
