Further to why you need to sign up to TWITTER --- (either one of these reasons are worth the 5 minutes it takes to register) 1. Would love to meet you Sophie. I am flying in from the east coast and will have a car. Used to live in San Diego so maybe we can meet up with some other Atops and do a little sightseeing - I have PMed you. You should have two from me because the first half went of its own accord! Let me know if you don't get two bits....LOL |

It's been a slow day so I though I'd share this. I just uploaded the full performance of wicked, the one that Adam plays Fiyero in. I found the download link to this a long time ago on Tumblr, so I thought I would put it on YouTube so everyone could watch it. Oh and just a side note these videos might be took down because I got a copyright notice when I uploaded it. But other wise enjoy the videos!!!  Thank You!!!!!!!!!!! It's probably too late now, but you could try labeling them something totally unrelated to Adam & Wicked.I saw an Adam video labeled Holiday or Vacation or something like that. I never take the risk of uploading the good stuff anymore. I got kicked off of YT for uploading Adam's American Idol performances. I lost about 100 playlists. I've 379 playlists now and I can't stand the thought of losing them. |

Joining the discussion on FYE and Trespassing. Love both albums in their entirety for different reasons. I played FYE every day for almost three years. I've played Trespassing almost every day since. ---- Just as Adeles' 19 pales in comparison to 21 and Amy Winehouse's Frank is not the gem that Back to Black is ( which in my opinion was only the beginning, and unfortunately the end of what she was capable of ..) I think Album 3, or as I will classify it, Adam's sophmore visionary album will be "The One." I hope he trusts his heart and his instincts, writes what he feels, and asks no-one's opinion. That will be art, and a success. eta.. not that I don't think Trespassing is a masterpiece. It was. It is. But just the beginning of what I believe this man is capable of. ^^^ what she said plus, FYE has qualities that in this country you need a prescription for. TP is a bit more commercial, less reaching the gut IMO, In other words: I can rationally explain my love for TP more easily to others, but my body reacts to most of the FYE songs. But I know I will loove the yet unnamed one!!! |

If I do it will be a last minute impromptu looking for stub hub type tickets, LOL. I so look forward to the day when I can meet and party with fellow Atopers! *Wishing* Buy the ticket now, decide later .... always the sanest course of action when it comes to Adam IMO At the very least, if you really can't go, give the ticket away and make someone else very happy ... win win all around   |

Truth be told about Trespassing, I actually like the Bonus tracks better than the regular album tracks. It is a little sad that they won't be heard by a broader audience and Runnin won't get to be a single - it needs to be a movie soundtrack! I have no idea why, but whenever I hear Runnin', I think of Johnny Depp. It would be a perfect song for the soundtrack of a Johnny Depp movie! |

When we received the 30-sec snippets of songs from FYE, I was so excited I made little cut-outs of each song title, and would place them on a graph; and then listen again and again; and move the titles up and down - it was supposed to help me siphon my cascading, visceral, confusing emotions and create a simple, understandable graph of the chaos flooding through my being. I needed to categorize these songs, these moments. My most loved kept changing, after each listen. Ultimately, of the original cuts for FYE, my favorite was FYE; followed by PUU and then Loaded Smile, Broken Open and Soaked. I did not see Soaked as a song about a drunken one-night stand. I related to the loneliness of trying to be a friend, and again, walking home alone in the rain. I've done that.
Did not connect to the passion, spirit or message of Aftermath, initially. It took the live performances to make it happen. I cannot get enough of the FYE album, even after 3 1/2 years.
Trespassing. I see it as evolution, but not in a way that makes the second 'project' better than the first. It's just different. I'm blown away by the simple message of OOL; the defiance of Trespassing; the cockiness of Cuckoo; the glimpse of 'life down under' in Shady; the mocking protectiveness (inclusiveness?) of partying friends in Kickin In; the confession of sexy confusion, body talk I've never spoken, in Broken English.
I'm transported by every single track on this album, with the exception of 'Naked Love'. Why? I don't know.
Bonus tracks are exceptional on both albums.
I can't pick; can't make a better choice. It's like deciding between your firstborn and your second son. Brilliance and amazement happen for both. I'm ready for A3 to knock it out of the park. My park. This little place that has room for the kid at the plate who adjusts his hat, stands at the ready, swings, and misses; and room for the kid who carries the weight of his team on his shoulders; hides an inward terror, swings, and hits another home run. Both are precious to me. The dreams are the celebration.
