Yes, Adam is channeling Elvis when he sings this song. Last summer I searched for a video of Elvis singing Crazy Little Thing Called Love (CLTCL). I wanted to compare Adam's version with that of Elvis. Apparently, Elvis never sang CLTCL. Some places I looked said an Elvis impersonator sang it, but I swear I saw Elvis sing that song and somewhere there is video proof. I wonder whether Adam saw Elvis sing CLTCL, too. Elvis died before it was even written, it's just a very Elvis song ETA: Wooooooops probably shouldn't leave 15 minutes between reading a post and replying hehehe |

Wow....Love everything I learn here and as a result of loving AFL!! good stuff.....who'd a thunk. i think what really threw me is on Elvis night...when Adam mentored...one of the contestants sang Crazy little thing.....haha...

Has anyone figured out Adam's "Early bird" tweet yet? Is it because he was up at 9AM? He probably had to get up early to rehearse his Jailhouse Rock Idol finale duet with Angie and have another Ali Baba costume fitting. Or he was the first one up and had to give his partner ahhhh... never mind. |

No, Adam has never seen Elvis sang Crazy Little Thing Called Love because Elvis never sang this song. This song written by Freddie Mercury in 1979 and released in 1980, so it's 2 years after Elvis died in August 1977. |
