OK...so I just watched my DVR'd AI tonight. Thought they did excellent job on Adam's WATN package...he looked every inch the International SUPERSTAR. Loved that they used his FYE vid at the end, too ...the little devil. Always thought it'd be Candice & Kree in the finale. Was feeling sorry for Angie trying to gett thru her goin' home song with the tears...but, HEY...the lucky bitch will be spending the next week working with AFL! Rehearsing with AFL! Singing with AFL! Sharing the stage with AFL! The other two girls NOT! Angie WINS all the way! You know Adam will make sure they bring down the house with their duet. Can't wait to see him on my TV again.

I will post a numbers recap in the numbers thread later tonight but for now Trespassing Deluxe album jumped from #366 at 8:43pm to #83 at 9:39pm EST ETA: This is itunes Pop albums chart. People didn't know Adam had a second album out is my impression. Well, Idol, thanks for that snippet and Adam's performance next week won't hurt TP either. Gotta give the show a thumbs up for that kind of promotion. Agree... this is the type of promo that should have happened last year. But hey, better late than never as the saying goes... Maybe this is a sign the US is STARTING to catch-up. And YEAH for he Trespassing bump. Thanks for keeping us informed:-) |

Are you forgetting that he was on Idol performing NCOE the week his album dropped? Yes he gets a bump whenever he is on TV but that is not enough to sustain sales. Lack of radio play was a more significant factor than lack of TV. Even if he had had several more TV slots than he did it would not have made up for the lack of radio play. He had TV appearances, what he didn't get was significant radio play.

He only had 2 TV appearances for album drop and that was Idol & GMA.

Has anyone downloaded this? Is it good? Yes, it is great! Full HD (1280 x 720 p) and looks like 5.1 surround sound from inspecting it with MediaInfo. Unfortunately there is a sever thunderstorm warning scrolling across at the bottom of the screen the last 15 seconds. It took 38 minutes to download with a medium speed internet. |
