5.12.13 Adam wins two GLAAD Media Awards!! + red carpet

Considering the life story of Alexander McQueen it was certainly well thought out for Adam and his mother to be wearing clothing from his collection.

Anyone knowing the tragic life story of McQueen likely knows how close he was to his mother, how he struggled with addiction, had one love in his life, married, and parted a year later, and ended his life at age 41, nine days after his mother's own death of cancer .

I often think of Adam's closeness with his mother when I think of McQueen. 

Here we are on the eve before Mother's Day and he walks the carpet with Leila in McQueen accepting one of the biggest awards at GLAAD, citing the history of the gay struggle not only in his life, but others past..

My question is , does Adam think of all this? I have no doubt he is capable, but the layers of this statement, this weekend? Is there a design team that puts these thoughts together or is he genius all on his own?

The one black nail, the lavender socks, I don't know the meaning of, but seriously.

sandymct I believe he is a genius and he does think about it and there very often is meaning in the little things he does.  I know Adam likes to say it ain't that deep, but his comment about how much effort he puts into things and how it drives him fucking crazy is very revealing.  We saw it on idol- the outfits, the lighting, the presentation, matched the songs he sang and the emotions he wanted to evoke. I am not sure I always believe him when he dismisses things so casually....like it was just a pomegranate.  Maybe he is not consciously aware of it, maybe it is just part of who he is. I think he is a very evolved person.
