Hmmm...I was starting to get worried, because Candice tweeted this: Candice Glover

14 MaySo Candice is singing with Beyonce, and since Jessie J is going to be there, I thought maybe they had decided to let Angie sing with her instead of Adam. Curtis Finch's tweet relieves my mind that Adam will at least be on the show. It would be great if he got to sing a solo, but dare we hope? I wish we had more details! I'd be surprised if Beyonce appeared on Idol tonight. She is on tour in Europe. She performed in Antwerp, Belgium last night and she has a concert in Zurich, Switzerland tomorrow night. I guess technically it's possible (especially if she has a private plane), but I wonder whether she would really want to invest that much traveling and time to appear on American Idol. I still think that Jennifer Hudson seems more likely to be Candice's duet partner -- FOX-LA said that she is supposed to appear tonight. |

But did not Ryan say last week that Adam was going to be on the show doing a surprise DUET with someone? It would be great if he had a solo op too though.
I attempted to listen to Candice Glover's stellar moment with LoveSong on youtube and had to stop it. I would like to stumble into a dark smoky bar one night and hear her belt out some blues/jazz maybe. Kelly Clarkson has my vote for best female vocalist in all 12 seasons.
I just don't want to get my hopes up too high about tonight's performance. I am still trying to decide if I want to log on to see what he did or wait til it appears in the regularly scheduled Pacific time.

I do not think she is doing a duet with Beyonce. I hope not because that would not be good for Candice. The only one who should be worried is Shirley Halperin because she is the one who published the info that Adam was doing a duet with Angie. All that we know is Adam is doing a "special duet" per Ryan. There is zero chance that Ryan would have announced that Adam will be on the show if it was not happening. There are many possibilities: - Adam and Angie are going to duet. Jessie J. is in LA for some other purpose. - Jessie J. and Angie are going to duet and Adam's special duet never had anything to do with Angie. Shirley was misinformed. - Adam, Jessie J. and Angie are going to perform together. That would be special. - They got Jessie J. at the last minute, cancelled Angie's solo, and will have Adam do something else. |

I am 99% sure Beyonce is not on Idol tonight because of her EU tour. Besides, "Girls Love Beyonce" is a Drake song! A duet with Drake makes sense! She adores him! |

She is in a car with her makeup artist and hairstylist -- she is headed to Idol. There is just nothing else in LA tonight that would account for that crew with her heading somewhere in the morning. I guess she needs a stylist for her wig? |
