I think someone looked at the AI budget sheet, and said, "What!!!!??? We paid Mariah what!!!!??? Get the diva to sing on the finale to recoup some of that!"
(and make Randy play bass because he got 10% of WHAT!!!!???)

Well of course I fell asleep and didn't see the top 2 on AI yesterday *insert the normal unhappy face smiley that seems to be missing???* I did watch the YTs and both girls are good, all top 3 are good. I just don't connect with Kree at all, Candice is often too OTT for me although very capable with an expressive voice (and Angie sometimes sounds cold but would have been my pick). But today, I plan to stay awake. The red carpet stream will help with that even though the show starts at 3 am here. I have been thinking that Adam will do a cover and a good candidate, if he'll be singing with Angie, would be AYGGM. But I'm happy with w/e Adam sings and expecting him to highlight the contestant. Going to go out and then watch the big event in Europe, Eurovision Song Contest semifinals where Finland will compete for a place in the finale. Our song is titled 'Marry me' and there is marriage equality buzz going on also (the singer kissed her female bandmate). And after that it's AI and exciting times! ![]() |

Maybe...the show was able to get Jessie J at the last minute, and they're putting her with Angie and having Adam sing with Candice. I think I am going to go and look for Candice's performance, so I have an idea what we are dealing with... - "the best singer of all 12 seasons" by some comments I've seen... - which would be great for a ballad duet with Adam, which would mean WWFM and I hate that idea... Does she do anything but ballads? kamar!...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! anyhoo.....I'm going with Angie and Jessie J duet and I'm hoping it's not a trio (Angie, Jessie J..Adam). I still think Adam's got something up his sleeve. He doesn't do anything half-assed and his entire modus operandi is to "blow that shit up!". I can't see him doing any Queen with or without a contestant...without Brian and Roger. His latest campaign with the Trevor Project still intrigues me....maybe a new song? Maybe a cover with proceeds going to that charity? Maybe he'll be singing with Candace? Maybe, maybe, maybe.....but fun to speculate!  Eeeekkkk that's the first time I've seen that particular speculation and I'm hoping along with you. The rest of your speculation I can roll with! ![]() I was expecting a tweet from him to his 2+M followers. C'mon Adam how about a little bit of self promo? |

I don't care who he sings with as long as he sings. He will blow them all away. Of course not with Lazaro. Keeping my fingers crossed I get back in time from my son's Track banquet.

IF this is true, it would be quite a testament to Adam, don't you think? They schedule Adam to sing with Angie and they rehearse. Then, Jennifer Hudson says "no" and Aretha cancels and they cannot find someone who can duet with Candice and make it work. Who can match her huge voice and style? Wellllll, Adam certainly can. He has an incredible voice and has demonstrated his ability to handle multiple styles. But, he is already prepared to sing with Angie. True, but Adam is beyond professional and a hard worker. HE would be capable and good natured enough to handle a last minute switch with grace. They can just find someone else to sing with Angie, and their problem is solved. Adam saves Idol AGAIN. I kinda like that scenario. Heck, just let Adam sing with all of them. It would make for the most dynamic, exciting finale ever. YES PLEASE!!! ![]() |

Not a pop ballad singer. They could do a R&B diva classic. If they put Adam with Candice -- and I would like that better than Adam and Angie -- I would expect something with |
