Regarding the discussion of the end of the dual duets -- this is all I want to say... Plus, I am certain that everyone involved with Angie is very happy she did that duet with Adam because Domino was only memorable as someone getting a chance to sing with her personal Idol and favorite pop star. *** Nice to see the RS writer also disappointed about Adam not getting to talk. They apparently did not want to hear from any of the other stars. *** Trespassing Deluxe is now at #145 on the iTunes Pop Album Chart.  Q3, do you have numbers for Titanium? |

I just finished last night's thread and am starting at the end here & working my way back to page 1. I'm glad I didn't see the Seacrest "interview" with JJ & Adam after the performance. I probably would have been upset & considered it a diss as some of you did. So now, without that knocking around in my head, I see this Idol appearance as a COMPLETE & TOTAL WIN FOR ADAM! The performance was stunning and seems to be getting the best press of the entire show. It couldn't have turned out better!!! Late flail is better than no flail -  The lack of interview with Adam was an unintended consequence of Idol's commitment to Jessie J. of a chance to announce her new single on air. It looked a bit awkward, but mostly Ryan seemed to be on overload. Because he had to talk to Angie about her performance and get the Jessie J. promo in. And then it was like he realized Adam was there. But it ended with that wonderful shot of the three of them smiling. *** My favorite moment of the whole show (excluding the performance of Titanium) was the first person shown on the show was Adam, in a close-up. Then the audience pan, then the credits start. And he was on screen for a long time. Posted on page one. |

oh,oh -- it seems they're deleting some of the duet vids -- "owned by Freemantle". We should make sure we are watching it on the Idol You Tube channel anyway. Hits, hits, hits! |

Da fuck was J-Hud and Candice doing? Looked like the Battle-round on the Voice  IMHO,J Hud was a bit disrespectful to Candice.. It was about Candice not JHUD.I think she could have been more gracious, and shared the stage rather than trying to out shine the idol contestant, good example Adam and Angie's duet.. stellar One of the reviews I read said (not verbatim) that jHud ate Candace for lunch vocally. They meant it as a compliment to jHud of course but I it shouldn't be. This was not the occasion for a who-can-outsing-who match. |

Titanium re-entered the iTunes Top 200 songs 11.2 hours ago, settled in around #84 to #88, the movement is actually other songs dropping vs. Titanium rising any more. Currently at #86. For perspective -- the Popularity Bars number is percent of the #1 song's sales...sales rate increased but once you get below #30, the sales rate is relatively low. That performance was a mess. Plus, Natalie Cole was really angry about it. Angie Miller, Adam Lambert, and Jessie J, “Titanium” and “Domino” I am naturally going to vote against Angie Miller, who still resembles a female TaleSpin character, because she clearly felt entitled to a season 12 victory even though she refused to be interesting. Those two qualities don’t go together. She is a Vanessa Bayer Bratz doll, and there’s a lovable quality to that, but Angie refused to revel in lovability and settled for chronically perky pageantry. Or as Mariah called it, constant “festive”-ness. Whatever her problems are, she was perfectly paired with Adam Lambert, whose knife-like clarion call is still an unwavering treat, and Jessie J, whose attitudinal edge toughened the too-smiley Angie. I only wish the two halves of the performance could’ve coalesced in some way. Flawless vocalizing all around, though.
