Now after listening to the duet over and over and over (and LOVING every second of it) can I just say that I don't really love Adam's shirt.....
eta: "Stay" breaks my heart for reasons that became apparent later on. I do think Adam sings certain covers for a reason.

socialitelife.com/adam-lambert-rocks-the-house-at-american-idol-finale-05-2013Adam Lambert Rocks The House At ‘American Idol’ Finale May 17th, 2013 Adam Lambert never fails to disappoint! Adam Lambert never disappoints! Adam and top 3 finalist Angie Miller rocked the American Idol house when they performed “Titanium” by David Guetta and Sia on last night’s (May 16, 2013) finale. After Lambert and Miller sang, the season 8 runner-up stepped offstage to usher in Jessie J for her duet with Miller on her hit song “Domino.” Watch the performances below. Adam only just received his GLAAD Award last week, receiving it from former Spice Girl Mel B, and now he has been recognized on this year’s O Awards. Adam’s ‘Glamberts’ are renowned for their dedication to the ‘For Your Entertainment’ singer and as a result he has been named in the ‘Fan Army FTW’ category, which recognizes stars with the most enthusiastic and supportive fan base.

I just fell deeply in love with Adam all over again. I have listened to his duet 50+ times, and I am a dribbling idiot. It is the voice, that beautiful voice that makes me feel like a marshmellow. I want more, more, more.

Trespassing Deluxe is now at #145 on the iTunes Pop Album Chart. Thanks for mentioning that. I meant to bring that over but got distracted. Also, most of the guest performers have albums in the top 200 of iTunes (U.S.). Frankie Valli, Aretha, and Mariah have top hits albums that are selling today. Some of the performers were probably already on the list. Candace's album (pre-order) is #6 overall. The singles that were debuted are also selling well, with Psy's being the lowest (when I look earlier this morning).

3. Angie Miller, Adam Lambert, and Jessie J, “Titanium” and “Domino” I am naturally going to vote against Angie Miller, who still resembles a female TaleSpin character, because she clearly felt entitled to a season 12 victory even though she refused to be interesting. Those two qualities don’t go together. She is a Vanessa Bayer Bratz doll, and there’s a lovable quality to that, but Angie refused to revel in lovability and settled for chronically perky pageantry. Or as Mariah called it, constant “festive”-ness. Whatever her problems are, she was perfectly paired with Adam Lambert, whose knife-like clarion call is still an unwavering treat, and Jessie J, whose attitudinal edge toughened the too-smiley Angie. I only wish the two halves of the performance could’ve coalesced in some way. Flawless vocalizing all around, though. And Adam’s Leontyne Price makeup was arguably the best of the night. www.thebacklot.com/american-idol-finale-so-you-think-you-candice/05/2013/2/

www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/article/Kree-Harrison-is-not-the-Idol-but-still-an-idol-4525404.phpBeing the runner-up may not be such a bad thing. Some of the show's second-place contestants have careers rivaling the singers to whom them lost. Adam Lambert, Season 8 runner-up, has both a Grammy nomination and an album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, which is more than can be said for winner Kris Allen. At a post-show press conference, Lambert said winning isn't the important part of "Idol" - exposure is. "I don't think first, second, third is what it's all about," he said. "I think it's about launching your career. Everybody knows Kree now."

I just finished last night's thread and am starting at the end here & working my way back to page 1. I'm glad I didn't see the Seacrest "interview" with JJ & Adam after the performance. I probably would have been upset & considered it a diss as some of you did. So now, without that knocking around in my head, I see this Idol appearance as a COMPLETE & TOTAL WIN FOR ADAM! The performance was stunning and seems to be getting the best press of the entire show. It couldn't have turned out better!!! Late flail is better than no flail -

www.csmonitor.com/The-Culture/2013/0517/American-Idol-finale-recap-America-crowns-its-next-IdolThe Best Hands down, the absolute best vocal collaboration of the evening was that of Angie Miller and Adam Lambert performing, "Titanium." Their chemistry during their performance, both vocal and just general chemistry was the highlight of the evening. For that brief minute or so it seemed as though Idol had found its way out of the pomp and circumstance of superstar performances and just delivered viewers pure, raw, relevant talent. Kudos to both Angie and Adam for their incredible vocals.

Now after listening to the duet over and over and over (and LOVING every second of it) can I just say that I don't really love Adam's shirt..... eta: "Stay" breaks my heart for reasons that became apparent later on. I do think Adam sings certain covers for a reason. We know the reason that he sang Titanium -- Angie picked it. And JMHO I do not think "Stay" had anything to do with what was going on between Adam and Sauli at the time. (Sorry if I misinterpreted your point.) It is a great song, and covered by so many artists. In any case, Adam has never said anything to connect his cover of "Stay" directly to his relationship with Sauli. But thanks for the excuse to post this... youtu.be/ISY6Pz3kxeY
