Logging in to add my day after flail to myriad of others. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! Utterly sublime!
I was hoping that he would do his music to promote Trespassing, but I should have trusted Adam to make the right decisions. He showed himself to be not only great vocal talent, but a caring, wonderful. His desire to let Angie shine was palpable. I think it is traditional for the guest star to pick the song, but Adam gave this honor to Angie because he wanted it to be her night.
I also had concern about the lyrics of the song. In my own defense, I watched the lyric video yesterday, and reading the words with gun imagery and what seemed an aggressive tone shocked me a little, though I did know that it was metaphorical. When Angie and Adam open their mouths and out poured these sweet, poignant sounds tinged with real heartache, I felt what in others hands might have been very angry and in-your-face, was turn into something far more gentle and soul wrenching than I would have thought possible.
Off for another listen.
