I find it totally ridiculous that idol grabbed that Angie song and made it part of their studio recording catalog. Legal, sure, but still a mess. Angie gets screwed twice here, not only can it not chart right now, the bigger issue is that the song will disappear when idol gets ready for season 13 and takes the studio catalog from season 12 down, just like they did with any other season. I wish people could still buy the AL studio recordings, but they can't. It's how idol does things, but I think this is the first time that they swiped up an original in the process. I would hope that Angie at least gets songwriting credits for this one and they worked that out, but what about performance rights and broadcast rights and other such questions that normally don't arise for 19 because everything otherwise released is a cover only and not an original? Anybody know? ANGIE IMHO IS BEING F.. she also gave up singing her beautiful song YOu Set Me Free at the final so that JessieJ could sing with her. Then she was told her song would be on ITUNES. IT's her song, doesn't she have the right to sell it??Does 19 now own this song?? Angie's song is on sale on Itunes -- I just checked. It is not being included on the sales charts, meaning we can't tell how well it is selling relative to other records. The only Season 12 Idol tracks that are included on the Itunes charts are the new singles by Candice (Pop chart) and Kree (Country chart).

IT's her song, doesn't she have the right to sell it??Does 19 now own this song?? Angie's song IS being sold on iTunes. It is just not being put on the iTunes chart that ranks the sales. But it has 3 times the number of review comments as Candice's single. Don't know how well the number of review comments correlate with sales, but hopefully this means it is getting sales. The really bad part is that it also does not get in the list of What's New that people may go to to find new music. Kree's song has very few comments in comparison to both Angie's and Candice's song. Same goes for the view counts on YouTube, so I think Kree's song is not selling very well. The Voice has all of the live songs charting on iTunes. They are even adding iTunes sales to the vote counts, although not in a 1-1 ratio. So, it Idol does not want their contestant's live songs to chart as they have in the past, I have to wonder if their sales are so much lower than The Voice sales that they don't want the comparison to be made public. Given that The Voice contestants tend to sing more recent popular songs, it would not surprise me that they are selling better.

Pretty sure it is Drake...good for him... Hmmm, it doesn't look like Drake to me. Besides, Drake is an artist and an interior designer, not a dancer. I don't think that's him in the video.

Tweets using words that indicate hate speech plotted on a US map - The study has its limitations, and these are mentioned in the article, but it is interesting none the less. Click on the map shown in the article and the full map displays. You can then click on type of hate (homophobia is one) or on individual key words. newsfeed.time.com/2013/05/20/the-geography-of-u-s-hate-mapped-using-twitter/peace&love

And yet The Voice has yet to produce a breakout star. Idol's record is still pretty good on that score, with even some runners-up doing quite well.

I'm writing work related documents on the computer this morning. Can't you tell? Work, find something interesting while taking a short break, post random stuff on Atop, back to work, repeat. LOL This is the last one, I promise, because I have to leave for an appointment. I was looking for that Preppies of the Apocalypse video review of IIHY and discovered that they also have one of FYE. Which brings us to the Adam Lambert Conundrum: His public persona is relentlessly sweet and cheerful and non-threatening (the kid’s a hilarious charmball in interviews), and yet he’s a hugely polarizing figure, probably because he’s a wee bit sleazy (note: In my personal lexicon, “sleazy” is never an insult). It’s hard to think of any other well-raised, polite, musical theater-loving Jewish boy from suburban San Diego receiving the amount of vitriol Lambert gets heaped upon him from various corners of the internet. There are probably countless factors at work here, and I’m not qualified to parse them in depth, but I’d guess the bulk of the anti-Lambert sentiment stems from the combination of him: a) being openly gay, b) embracing camp, and c) giving every impression of really liking sex.read more at preppiesoftheapocalypse.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/video-analysis-adam-lamberts-for-your.html?m=1peace&love
