Today is already the 22nd. There is not much time for Ali Baba to get his beard and himself to Vienna, find some color for it, do a rehearsal, a dress rehearsal and whatever else he needs to do. Bet he studies those lyrics on the plane. lol. That Clay crap makes me actually pretty mad, tbh. I know this is just media speculation and may not reflect what is really going on behind the scenes, but if these 'Vultures' picked up the scent or got a whiff or the air behind the scenes, then this would mean that they are doing everything to find other names besides Adam. It's like we have an obvious name, how can we avoid that name. Adam beats Clay in every respect I can think of: Standards and Broadway and Xmas vs. Pop, Rock, dance, funk, EDM, Dead music career vs. active music career Small fan base vs. large fan base Vindictive personality vs. nice and positive character No radio vs. some radio US only vs. international Fashion zero vs. fashion buzz Media almost zero vs. major media interest and constant water cooler buzz Narrow music knowledge and taste vs. broad music taste and knowledge about pop is current Negative about AI vs. always positive about idol It is mind-boggling to even having to read this. And the fact that they are not talking to Adam, but are talking to JHud and K.Clarkson is also telling. JHud suggested that idol should shut its doors, that it was done. And they are still considering her. What a confused mess this executive team of idol is. I preface this by saying I know nothing - but if this year is anything like last, Idol will float all sorts of names through the summer and try to keep its name in the news however it can. I think Adam has as good a shot as anyone, and that may be why Idol doesn't mention him. I'm going to take a deep breath and try not to get all hot and bothered about anything that is said from now till whenever the announcement is made.... (I said try.  ) |

Idol just keeps shooting themselves in the foot and they don't seem to listen to what the viewers want,The show seems to live its life in a stupid bubble.I really can't stand all the conjecture,I feel like I'm getting played.When Adam signs on the dotted line,I will let loose ,until then I'm not interested in the rumors. |

Idol would be foolish not to have Adam on the top of the list. Adam already demonstrated his ability to critique and advise when he appeared as a mentor. He's articulate and kind, and he knows what he's talking about. I'll bet if Michael Orland is consulted, he'll point out to the producers that Adam has a well-honed sense of what makes a great performance. A contestant like Adam, who wants a lot of input when it comes to the arrangements, the fashion, and the staging of their performance, would make a better judge than one who just does as they are instructed.

Of course, by the time AI starts, we will probably have heard rumours of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Latifah, SuBo, Perez, AND his Grandma becoming next AI judges;)

Seems to me Adam's appearance scares people. I've read quite a couple of comments all over the net (not news articles) from people just going about their day. I think Adam is clearly thinking about his appearance and what can go down where. I thought he looked perfect for Idol, his look suited the event. If he had thick eyeliner on like at the Chinese Idol audition, it would have scared people away. But kudos to him, he was still true himself although toned down  I personally love him with full make-up and out-of-this-world clothing, but my neighbour next door would not like it. Having said that I think if Adam can just get in the public eye and people can see what an awesome and well-grounded guy he is (even if he wears his guyliner *roll eyes*), be it as a judge on Idol or The Voice or wherever. People must just have an opportunity to listen to him when he talks/sings as we have done over the last years, I have no doubt they will change their minds about him. With that of course I'm sure people will also be more enlighten about things like men with make-up, gay issues, etc. My friend watches all of the competition shows, ie, Idol, Voice, AGT, DWTS, etc. She knows about my Adam obsession. Her comments about Adam with Angie were very positive. She then admitted she always liked his voice, but not his look or his "ANTICS". She obviously is not alone with this attitude, so perhaps a place on the panel could help him here in the States. I certainly became way more aware of Adam Levine because of the Voice (even though his band has been around for ages). Levine also landed some other roles, didn't he? And definitely more press. Oh, yeah, now I remember why I should not like Clay Aiken. But I am not one to not like a person based on how someone I do like feels about them or some of the opinions that person expresses . (i admit it can be a challenge to me though) After all, I have given Adam Lambert a pass on more than one occasion when he supported something I despise. Anyway, I can't believe Adam does not like Clay. Adam is all about Love. It's just a difference of opinion. On another note, I had Kiss and Tell fonzerelli mix on repeat today. What a great song! "I gush "cause we are so fresh together." |
