On Adam's career, well going out on a limb here but I've worked in theater and film and it is tough! The music industry is much worse. I adore Adam and believe he is the best singer EVAH but that is not a guarantee he will have the kind sales he needs for stardom. Life is not always fair! What I can see is him working on his brand, being a great spokesperson, and people also discovering his great voice. IDK does that make sense?
It makes sense but I can see it working differently in Adam's case.
Adam has a Platinum album and one big global hit song, and became famous on Idol. Being an amazing singer is part of his brand and personal identity.
I think Adam's path will be determined in large part by A3 -- what direction he heads, and what kind of reception commercial and critical reception he gets. But big album sales does not equal being a star. And having a big selling single does not make you a star.

JMHO but there is no formula for stardom and it is a matter of being the right person releasing the right song at the right time.
