I can't believe they could be seriously considering Clay either. Talk about irrelevant. He's a joke and when he went on Apprentice that just clinched it for me. Didn't most of the articles start leaving his name out and putting Adam's pic up instead of his? That shows people aren't interested in him. Anyway I'll try not to think about it and get in a flaily mood for tomorrow. We get to hear him sing a new song!

The other two spots are also intended for former Idol contestants: Kelly Clarkson and either Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken. We're told that Clarkson is also close to signing on. No word yet on whether Lambert or Aiken will fill the final spot, but producers are expected to keep the panel to three members. .. I'm finding this somewhat hard to believe. It usually takes months to settle these contracts, since not only does salary need to be negotiated, but also the extras like wardrobe allowance, dressing room (e.g. "how big is my trailer gonna be?"), etc. So unless they started negotiating with JHud months ago, this "news" seems a bit premature to me. Or maybe I'm just in denial. I'm not a fan of JHud. I don't enjoy the way she sings -- she's like a vocal sledgehammer. I loved her in "Dreamgirls", but haven't been impressed by anything else she has done. But maybe she will surprise me and be a scintillating judge. At least I hope so, or I'm going to be doing a lot of fast-forwarding again next season. |

YOWSA..LIFEBALL HAS BEGUN!Of course Adam had to be on the VIP plane...what WAS I thinking of..rehearsals..silly me! That was the start of his LifeBall adventure. No wonder he was all happy about saying 'good morning'. So I guessed wrong on his flights, but he's there on the red carpet. Where he should be!!  This is gonna be fun.. On the Idol side...until I see Idol starting to announce new judges, I'm gonna stay as far away from these speculative/definitive articles as I can. Adam didn't get in last time, but look what he DID get to do. He came away with this little prize called CHINA! All things work for a reason. If it's his season for Idol, it'll happen. Not getting worked up by Clay..of all people.  LIFEBALL!!! Go get um, Adam! Can't wait to hear that stellar voice over ALL those speakers. What a thrill for him.

I am skeptical that they have a deal with anyone yet BUT if this is true, they would have signed a letter of intent, not a contract, at this point. Then work out the contract details. I recall that it took about 2 months after JLo "signed" to actually have the contract signed. |
