Unpopular opinion, I know, but it would be nice if the tix for the AT&T showcase went to actual LGBT youth, or at least listeners of the station....sometimes just because you can doesn't mean you should. Know any LGBT kids? Plenty on twitter lamenting the fact they didn't win..... I don't think it's an unpopular opinion. :( I love that Adams fans love him so much that they will move heaven and earth to see him, and I know everyone's heart is in the right place. But this event was specifically to celebrate LGBT youth. This situation just makes me sad, in many different ways. And since there are so many tickets left, as of right now, how would you and/or Adam & KIIS feel if the place was 1/2 empty? Oh, and this give away by KIIS is not part of the contest. Is that the confusion? These tickets are taking nothing away from those that entered the contest and didn't win. If those kids are not over 18 or live in the KIIS area, they can't even get these tickets! |

Ok - now that I can write again, my opinions.... 1) To the best of my knowledge, the KIIS contest isn't the same thing as the other contest. No guilt is needed whatsoever. As long as you meet their criteria, anyone who can get tix should enjoy the hell out of themselves!! 2) Suggestion: since the venue has apparently been increased in size, perhaps those on Twitter who are miserable they didn't get tix should be told to try again?
