So much spec. But, this was an article meant to stir people up. And Shirley has been in the Idol bubble long enough to know exactly what the response would be. Who knows, maybe it was someone on Adam's team (not his label team) wanting this information out. Maybe someone thought RCA needed a wake-up call. You are right - and she CERTAINLY succeeded in riling me up! Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I wonder if this is how the Shirley article came about: Hollywood Reporter Editor: Slow news day. We need to get some hits on the site. Shirley, didn't you go to that Lambert event this weekend? Got anything? Shirley: Yeah, I went, but I didn't find out anything new. Lambert answered "no comment" to everything. Editor: Really? C'mon now, you have to have something. There must be at least a few tidbits you can string together for a story. You know what to do. **winks** Shirley: Okay, I think I can put something together that the Glamberts will jump on. **winks back** I still think that article is 10% fact and 90% Shirley speculation. Hope I'm right.  |
