Even though Joan Rivers bugs the hell out of me I'm posting this again because I am addicted to Kelly Osbourne's statement: "When he hit the carpet, it was, like, Chinese whispers went down and, 'Adam Lambert looks so hot. Adam Lambert looks sooo hot.' And he walked past me and I went, wow. You really DO look hot tonight. He-- he owned it." Just the thought of the excitement level shooting up when Adam "hits the carpet"... the awed and admiring whispers... the onlookers and stars and media all fluttery and paying homage to Adam's undeniable charisma and power--- it gives me goosebumps. Like I said, I am addicted. I can't get enough of the adoration-- of HIM. Oh and, what the hell are Chinese whispers? I thought Joan was pretty funny in this...it is her shtick, and I believe she is pretty popular in the gay community. I would not see Adam offended by this, but would laugh at it. I think Adam would laugh at it too! The guy on the show thought what she said was hillarious, but the women were kinda looking a little embbarassed. I have mixed feelings, cause on the one hand, why did Joan ref Adam as a woman both times? Is that a put down? On the other hand, it was funny, and I think Adam would also get a big chuckle.

Woa, and all except one are bids for next year's events. Someone bid 13,000 for 2 tickets to next year's Grammy show! Jeff Beck's signed guitar is the only celebrity item higher than Adam's. Wow - I'm chatty this morning. Notice that the Jeff Beck guitar is only higher because that is the starting bid price - there are 0 bids so far. The $7,000 VIP for next year's Grammys is the only actually bid on item that is higher than Adam's right now. Good on you! I didn't even notice that those were starting bids with zero bids so far!

I really wish Adam would write a full critique of his impression of the Grammys, he is very savvy about what is hot and what is not, and has interesting opinions and such a good ear for music in general.

I've seen this by many fans but don't remember anyone but Rod Stewart coming to Adam's defense, and that was when he was directly asked? Does anyone remember if Gaga actually tweeted him? I thought, from my memory, we were all kind of upset that Adam was not getting supportive tweets from his peers.

OMG! The radio station I listen to in the morning (Y98 STL), did a mashup of Born this Way and Express Yourself. They adjusted so that the beat was the same, and just laid them over each other. Same song with alternating backups. ;D ;D I heard that this morning in Ohio. If George Harrison had to pay the Chiffons for the melody line in "My Sweet Lord" (taken subconsciously from "He's So Fine") and Led Zeppelin paid Willie Dixon for inspiring "Whole Lotta Love". I think Madonna has a good case against Gaga is she wanted to push it. Can't imagine she will but where were UMG/Interscope's lawyers. It is so obvious, and such a prominent release, they had to know it would be an issue. Lady Gaga is certainly not out of ideas. And this is the second Madonna clone song (Alejandro). I am starting to think she did this on purpose to create a controversy -- and to claim the title of new Madonna. Just doesn't seem like an accident to me. I like Gaga & own her music. I'm just getting the sense that she is starting to believe all the smoke that is getting blown up her a$$ by the people around her. I'm not sure I can buy into the argument that by copying Madonna she is claiming the title. It doesn't make sense if you lose credibility. Now I could see that she knew the similarities, but her ego got in the way of rewriting it.

If Gaga did this on purpose to create controversy or to try to be the "new" Madonna, she isn't as intelligent as I thought she was. It isn't just us "older" folks who know Madge's songs inside & out - the 20-somethings my husband works with are REALLY into 80's music and know all of these songs. I don't know for sure about those in their 30's, but I would expect they are also familiar with Madonna's songs since they would have still been playing somewhat on the radio into the 90's. The only fans that are only going to know Madonna from Glee are the Teens and younger. Those who know that Gaga is "stealing" from Madge are not going to think of her as a legend and the "new" Madonna. If only the Teens/tweens think she is amazing, she is no better than Bieber. I think her ego is going to destroy her chances of truly being a music legend. Had she stuck with her OWN art and her own music, she would have had a chance to reach that level. (and, no, declaring yourself a genius and legend does not make it true!) Ok I will be 30 at the end of August and I am very familiar with Madonna songs as are most of my friends in my similar age group. I mean I was a kid growing up in the 80's and 90's and these are the songs I remember as a child. Madonna and Michael Jackson. I mean i may have not been old enough to remember when she first came out I defintely remember hearing her music all the time growing up and lets see...Vogue came out in 90 so I woulda been 9. Def old enough to remember pop culture stuff.

Perez sent Adam the Spanish Idol Fever. . . PerezHilton @adamlambert Hey , boo! Have you seen this yet??? ... You should be flattered! It's fun! x YouTube - OT2011 Gala 4 Álex - Fever I am so excited about this performance! I just saw it this morning, was it posted yesterday? Would love to read everyone's comments on it. This was a huge production number , what show is this? The audience loved it, and IMO it was way more racey and homoerotic than Adam's choreography on Fever and also on AMA's. Main thing, the audience went BSC on this. Love, Love, Love it! Course, the guy singing didn't know all the words, and his voice couldn't touch Adam's with a 10 foot pole. Hope Adam checked it out, and I wonder if he is thinking, Gosh, wish I could get away with this in US. I'm thinking, WOW, wish Adam would do this choreography, can you even imagine how HOT it would be?

... I found his tweets refreshing. I don't think he was hangover or drunk tweeting ... I read a lot of comments about how he drunk-tweeted and I *so* agree with you because to me those tweets didn't read as drunk AT ALL. They came over as totally Adam, honest, intelligent and with that charming humorous self-mocking at the end. Those tweets go to my favourites!! ITA 8-)
