Has anyone figured out whether Adam can do American Idol, as well as Glee? I haven't! But a few on twitter are saying it is doable. Don't want to give false hope though. We've been there done that.  This is the first chance I've had to come here and flail. Been flailing on twitter most of the day & trying to read all of the sites that are covering it. Even my top40 station tweeted about it!!! I have never seen so much press for him ever! And I doubt there was this much press for other celebrities guesting on Glee. It's just amazing! The ONLY negative reaction I've seen (and that was second-hand) was basement-dwelling Ricky. Even Perez was positive. I assume there are butthurt comments on certain idol-related blogs if you know what I mean lol. Someone remind me not to doubt Shoshanna's smileys anymore. I have to admit I scoffed at that after being brought down by the Shirley Halperin article. Ladymaserati- I just saw your post in yesterday's thread about bringing over Instagram photos. Right click & click on "View background image". That is the one you can bring over here. That was me! I posted that we need to take her smilies seriously from now on! |

Has anyone figured out whether Adam can do American Idol, as well as Glee? It would be possible to do the first segment of GLEE (Fall) and Idol. But I think the concept of former Idols as judges is dead. ** Frankly , I think this is better. 1. GLEE has good ratings and in not in ratings freefall like Idol. FOX just renewed it for 2 years. 2. The cast performs on GLEE. The judges mostly talk and get 1 to 2 performances a season. (The Voice coaches perform almost every week.) So Adam get to perform! 3. GLEE is marketed to teens in the US and around the world. 4. GLEE features performances, Broadway, and pop music. Idol audience skews toward alt. rock, country, and R&B. Adam fit the genres on GLEE better -- and the audience is more likely to buy his music. 5. GLEE has a Broadway storyline. It may be the closest to Broadway that Adam gets in the next 5 years. 6. He may get a chance to prove he can sing, dance and act! 7. He gets to be with KURT!! <3 8. I am so tired but I am sure there are 100 more reasons. ... |

I still like the idea of somehow debuting the first single from A3 on Glee but I am just not sure how it would fit in.
Where is the Fuck Take That radio smiley when you need it. LOL.

Of course, no word yet what sort of role he'll be playing. But that doesn't stop the conjecture. As Gay.net pondered, will it be "someone outrageous like himself or someone plain with no style? An instructor at NYADA? A substitute teacher at McKinley? Kurt's imaginary fairy godfather? Someone's fabulous gay brother? An old, bitter student who keeps getting held back for being too glam?" We'll just have to wait and see.
