Has anyone figured out whether Adam can do American Idol, as well as Glee? It would be possible to do the first segment of GLEE (Fall) and Idol. But I think the concept of former Idols as judges is dead. ** Frankly , I think this is better. 1. GLEE has good ratings and in not in ratings freefall like Idol. FOX just renewed it for 2 years. 2. The cast performs on GLEE. The judges mostly talk and get 1 to 2 performances a season. (The Voice coaches perform almost every week.) So Adam get to perform! 3. GLEE is marketed to teens in the US and around the world. 4. GLEE features performances, Broadway, and pop music. Idol audience skews toward alt. rock, country, and R&B. Adam fit the genres on GLEE better -- and the audience is more likely to buy his music. 5. GLEE has a Broadway storyline. It may be the closest to Broadway that Adam gets in the next 5 years. 6. He may get a chance to prove he can sing, dance and act! 7. He gets to be with KURT!! <3 8. I am so tired but I am sure there are 100 more reasons. ... Okay, all good reasons. I'm still hoping he will be on both! I want Adam Lambert all over my television this fall!

If the concept of former idols is dead that's a shame. What are they gonna do - go for the expensive big names again? The former idol idea was the only thing that made sense to me because no other talent show has done it - or CAN do it. Having said that, I'm not even sure I want him on the show. I mostly want him to be ASKED I guess. I mean, who would be better(er)? No one. But again - Yay for GLEE and especially for all the press both US & international!

Yay Israeli media! www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4403740,00.html bit.ly/156dpaNAmerican Idol's Adam Lambert is Joining GleeThe musical drama production announced that Adam Lambert will be joining their chorus line for the 5th season. It is still not known which role will the AI runner-up land. Glee is warming engines: the show's production announced yesterday that one of AI's most prominent contestants, Adam Lambert, is joining the cast for the 5th season of the musical drama ...on-msn.com/1avnbtRAdam Lambert Joining GleeAmerican Idol - out Glee - in A couple of months ago we told you AI were considering recruiting their most successful alumnai as judges next season. Although we thought (and still do!) it was not a bad idea, the production crew has gone through lots of changes since then (the mythological producer Nigel Lythgo left, for example), and the idea is being freezed. Maybe that is why ADam Lambert decided not to sit home and wait for an answer from the reality show production, but find himself a sure job, and this job is Glee. Admit it - it is tailor-made for him. ...on-msn.com/1avnbtRLook Who's Coming to Glee!

I'm so used to every story cycle being generally one or two basic reports that get copied or quoted. This time I'm amazed at how many different reports there are that are individually written, and they're mostly full of superlatives .ps: Scorpio, if you're back from your jaunt and still have all your faculties; re-read my pm please .

I still like the idea of somehow debuting the first single from A3 on Glee but I am just not sure how it would fit in. Where is the Fuck Take That radio smiley when you need it. LOL. Glee can make any song "fit!" That's what they do!

Just my opinion -- I have no insight into what plans Ryan Murphy & Co. have for Adam's role on Glee. But:
1. They would be missing the boat, big time, if they don't plan to maximize use of Adam's stellar vocals and give him beaucoup opportunities to sing. (Unless they're afraid that the Lambert voice will blow away everyone else's.) Then again, we know that when he duets with another singer, he has a way of making lesser singing partners sound golden. And I'd think that Adam will inspire the other cast members to step up their performances so they come closer in quality to his.
2. I've watched the show since it started, and have observed that new people who may only have been brought in for a limited run often stick around and have their roles expanded if (a) they click with other cast members and (b) they're popular with viewers. Examples: in the first season, Brittany (Heather Morris) wasn't one of the major players, but audiences liked her so the producers gave her more air time and she ended up as one of the main characters. And a couple of the actors the producers found through that reality show for Glee cast wannabes (like the Irish kid from the season before last, the guy with the dreadlocks, and the "Unique" character now) were originally supposed to get only a few episodes each, but became regulars.
So what does this mean for Adam? Even if they don't start him out as a regular cast member, he has all the talent, charisma, heart, and appeal to have even non-Glamberts clamoring for more. And is there anyone who has worked with Adam who hasn't ended up adoring him? (Maybe Voldemort, but that's about it.)
