If history is any indicator Adam has new contract with new label in his hands. What label would not see him as a rare commodity (except RCA) Knew Shosh was coming for a reason! Just starting! Promo this time the right way. Wanna bet anyone that Idol is next? Lets just cover all the demographics while we are at it, says DMG!

Our guy has artistic integrity. He is brave, and I am proud of him.
I wonder if he has another label lined up already? Also, the songs on which he has been working are they something he can take with him or are they RCAs since he was under contract when they were started.
Interesting that SH covers article was true after all.

Whether Adam has a new label lined up or not, he did what was best for him. I respect that. An 80's cover album was a bad idea. It's not who Adam is. I am sure that leaving a major label was a difficult decision.
Adam has always been about personal integrity and owning who you are. This is just another example that he practices what he preaches. That's my boy.

Oh goodness. I know some will be ecstatic and predict all kinds of good reasons that it is wonderful news, but this news just gives me the pit in the stomach feeling. I guess drastic change like this scares me. Adam cannot realistically put out a successful next album without the financial support and clout of a major label behind him, can he?  Tell that to Macklemore or Amanda Palmer. Palmer raised over $1,000,000 on kickstarter to make her album. Macklemore as I understand it has a distribution deal not a major label contract. Times ARE changing and most importantly, the media seems to always be on Adam's side and that is extremely important going forward. |

 Adam and DMG have a PLAN!!! Bye, bye, RCA...la la la...  I missed most of the 80 covers debate on purpose, but it seems the reaction gave Adam some extra heft in his letter. This is gonna be good. ![]() So thrilled for Adam and Glee! Yes, I do think Adam has a new label lined up. Thanks all for the well-wishes! DH doing very well.  |
