I have to be happy Adam and Queen are reuniting, although....yes I say although,... I would have preferred Adam alone with Queen, to highlight just Adam. Selfish yes, as this set will not be the two hour extravaganza I witnessed in London which showcased a great body of work and brought it to life again in a new way. It was amazing to witness.
It says Adam "and others" can cover Queen (which has always been the reality, since Freddie's passing, I know that I just wanted it all Adam for the prestige of it all). Not knowing Queen's view on why other guests this time...maybe it is not to diminish Freddie's role for Queen fans, in the USA, where Queen developed great popularity great/fan base. Guess I will have to see who the other guest artists are to figure out Queen's view of their fit with the performance.
Adam is performing, creating visibility, earning money ...so all is GREAT and AWESOME on that front. I need to get on with the real world...look how many big artists today are linking with hip hop/rappers or "dueting" songs to bring in new fans.

I'm fragile woman, not time for soonish.. Hang onto your nickers. I tend to be a worrier, but based upon everybody's confidence, I am really zen at the moment. I'm trying ..

I really don't think there will be special guests within the Queen set. I think the initial wording of the announcement was just confusing. Ryan (and radio stations) will be announcing some additional performers and guests as the concert gets closer. This is what happened last year.
But who knows, maybe someone like Dave Grohl or Nate from fun. will jump in there for something.

Great news on the confirmation of Queen+Adam Lambert. My first thoughts on special guests is that others will be included. A performance of "Under Pressure" would probably include other artists. I think Brian's reference to other artists was that it would not be a QUEEN concert. This will be a Queenbert set. Hopefully for the people lucky enough to be there as good as Hammersmith 2012 -- although not a full concert. I think instead of 2hr Queen concert, it's going to be 1hr

IT'S FESTIVAL.. so there will be other guests other than Queen.

Yeah I'm thinking an hour set and the way Seacreast said it (now that I could hear it on my break) definitely sounded more like it was QAL with special guests. There was no break in the with special guests that there would have been if it was intended to be about the whole show. Also QUeen's official facebook page and site mentioned Queen + Adam Lambert with special surprise guests so I think it will be within the set. Elton, Dave Grohl/Taylor Hawkins, Matt Bellamy, Nate Ruess the most likely. On another note I wonder if Brian and/or Roger and/or guest during one of their sets as well? Bellamy wrote Soaked so maybe Muse/Adam would do that? Just a thought...
