I'll be darned...QAL IS doing a set on iHeart! This must be a big deal festival. Never thought I'd see Queen do a set at a US festival. Great exposure for Queen and Adam. Top billing, live, TV, steaming Expensive tickets. My heavens. But at least they are performing in the US. I agree, don't expect the label announcement now for a bit. iHeart will generate another sweet press cycle for Adam. ![]() Isn't Adam always steaming?  Lil Freudian slip there, but quite right, LindaG! Adam's one hot tamale.. ![]() And I love a good typo anytime too..even my own..lol..  |

No I doubt they will play anything from QAL 2012 on US Radio. Some Classic Rock stations might play the Queen studio recordings in advance. *** adamfanem - I think Adam's career has moved up to a new level. Partly because of DMG, and mostly because he is so talented and so charming/nice. And because he has gotten support from many powerful and influential people -- Elton, Brian and Roger, Nile, Pharrel, and so on.... One thing he got from his RCA time, was the chance to work with a who's who of talent. That is priceless!! ***
Idol judges -- Miley, Keith and Adam does not make sense to me. Seems to risky for a show with over 25% non-white viewers. I do not think they will not have a judging panel with no African American and no Latino/Latina. Not happening in 2014 US.My thoughts exactly. IMO if Keith stays there is no chance for another white male on that panel. But even if Keith leaves I am not feeling Adam there at all... not with the new mgmt ... If he has a new label (and I think he will have) and he want to be a CHR artist, Idol may not make sense even if offered. He will need to be focused on promoting his music. If he want to be and AC/AP artist, than Idol makes sense. Still dreaming of THE VOICE. Adam Levine can go for a season and the real Adam can guest coach.  |

I think maybe Shoshanna's agency has a special relationship with Pressparty and that's why he linked to their article (which seems like it could have been lifted from a press release she provided them). So, unless something has changed very recently, I'm thinking that Paul probably really is a surprise guest. Terrific news about Queen and Adam performing together again!!! It will be such great exposure for Adam, and I'm excited to hear what they come up with for the show. It seems likely that Adam would have his new single out by then, to take advantage of this appearance and the promo for the new season of Glee. If so, I think they'd probably release it to radio by mid-to-late August, so audiences will be somewhat familiar with the song when he starts to perform it live. Maybe we'll even hear a preview at his concert on Friday! Fingers crossed. I also wonder if the new single could be a duet with someone who's performing at the festival. Since he'll already be there, Adam could join them to perform the song during their set. So happy to see pictures of Adam and Sauli together. It's like the cherry on top of an amazing week, with more awesome news to come!! |

Yes BUT... From Queen's Official Facebook and Twitter: I think the QUEEN Facebook and Twitter picked up the subhead in the press release. If that means multiple lead singers, I would be very surprised. Everything from IHR says Queen + Adam. If that surprise guest is called David Bowie, and the song is for example UP, then I certainly have absolutely nothing against 'guests'. Thinking big! PS, now going back to read thread. Sorry, if that idea was already brought up since. Just joining now and just had to get that wish off my chest. |

Las Vegas, NV — Adam Lambert will perform stateside with Queen at the upcoming iHeart Music festival in Las Vegas.
The lineup for this year's festival, which takes place at the MGM Grand on September 20 and 21, was announced Monday morning by Ryan Seacrest. Last year, Lambert fronted for the British band in a series of highly successful European shows. Brian May said there could be a reunion in the works for this year. "We are talking about doing something with Adam, probably for TV," May told MTV UK. "He's an amazing artist and a very nice guy. We keep in touch and have a good friendship." "We're not talking about touring yet," he added. "But we are talking about doing an event." May and drummer Roger Taylor formed the band Smile, which frontman Freddie Mercury altered to Queen when he joined. Mercury died in 1991 of complications due to AIDS. Also scheduled to perform are Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Elton John, Muse, Tiesto, Chris Brown, Keith Urban, fun, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Benny Benassi, Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, AWOLNATION, Pet Tong, Twenty One Pilots and Jason Derulo.
