I am just in awe of the strategy of this whole PR cycle and how the "parting of ways" was so cozily sandwiched between huge giant steps forward a la Glee and QAL in USA. Other than disgruntled trolls and a little piece of snark in LA Times (I think that is where it was), everyone is on the same page that reads Adam is a superstar with industry and media cred and he is a hot tamale and RCA suits are idiots. He is respected for this decision to walk rather than suspected of trying to spin a bad situation. Whoever has signed or will be signing him has to be jumping up and down. Though I am sure there is enough in it for Queen, I do think they are not unaware that this is a giant plus for Adam. I don't buy into the story line that he should not be singing covers because he said that he didn't want to. In this context, for the first time, mainstream US music will see him more than fill the shoes of one of the greatest frontmen in history. He will, as always, reinvent in his respectful but amazing way. They will see the huge love and respect that Brian and Roger have for Adam and the incredible fun they have making music together. The impact of all of this and the ongoing presence on Glee will jet propel A3. Not at all attached to Idol and agree that he may not have the time for it even it if were there for him. The crazy train had some engine problems when trying to run on the RCA rails but it is going to turn into a bullet train this next time out. Compare to 2012 & 2013, Adam is everywhere this year. His name keeps popping up in the media. I hope they will not wait till 2014 to release his single. He's really hot tamale this year.

Great exposure and no one ever lost out by being the go to choice of a couple of legends. Also loving that they are using them as as the "highlighted" act. Think TV shows and movies where the legendary performer is the last name listed at the end of the opening credits ie and <name>. All good. And whoever said Bowie as special guest I can get behind that devotion, he's got new music out, has said he doesn't want to tour but maybe his good friends Roger and Brian could lure him to Vegas for the weekend :-)

Off topic, but wanted to encourage everyone to go see the movie 20 Feet From Stardom. It's great, about back-up singers, and touches on the love of singing, people's dreams, the workings of the music biz, etc. Many things said in this documentary remind me of Adam, and of my son, who is also in the music biz. Really, see this movie if it is playing near you! (Lynne, you'll think of your music biz son, too, if you get a chance to see it.) Now, more or less on topic- Here is an article about increasing your chances of getting a ticket through ticketmaster. www.tailgatingideas.com/hacking-ticketmaster/A quick look at ticketliquidator showed iHeart Fest tickets at $470 - $9,125 for a one day pass for 9/20. Stubhub was $699 - $6499 for the one day 9/20 pass Last year the most expensive one day pass (sold through a reseller), according to iHeart Fest website, went for $11,003! peace&love ETA ticketmaster lists the price range for 9/20 as US $71.25 - US $423.00 US $71.25 Ticket + US $11.15 Fees = US $82.40 US $423.00 Ticket + US $24.15 Fees = US $447.15
