Let's remember that P2 is on his first post Idol win album. I will reserve the accolades for how he is "out of the bubble" until album #2. (Thinking of Cook right now!)
Also, I have watched his 2nd single carefully on the charts & it climbed slowly. Top 40 didn't start adding it until it made Top 10 on HAC. So even with a 4 million selling first single, it was not an automatic add. His huge spinning stations, for the most part, have not been in huge market areas. But 90 spins in Minneapolis count as much as 90 spins in NYC, for the radio charts.
The biggest thing he has going for him is that he is on Interscope. On that, I agree!
Opening for John Mayer? I am of the opinion that opening for someone doesn't do as much as most think for picking up fans.

Ack!! My DH surprised me and put a screen saver slide show of Adam photos on my computer this afternoon! You know what that means? It means he saw my photo folder and the names I have for them! I mean one is labeled "belly!" ![]()
I caught this picture via twitter tonight and just had to offer it up for your "belly" file ...
I personally have it saved in my "ApplePie" file :

If you are interested in making CDs from the high quality audio Butterknife, Tinafea, & I have recorded for San Diego (and other concerts), or put these files on a phone or portable player, please send be a PM with the following information. This will help me in formatting the files in a way that will make it easiest for you to make the CDs or put them on your phone/player. I'm planning on providing MP3 files as that is what many people want and some older/cheaper phones/players can only play MP3. But MP3 is not the best format for making CDs and you will have a much better quality CD if I can determine a second file format that most people can use!!! WAV & FLAC give the best quality, but FLAC files are large and WAV files are very large. AAC files give a better quality with a slightly smaller files size than MP3 files. 1) What software do you use to make CD's: iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. 2) Which of the following file types can you use for making CD's: WAV, FLAC, AAC, MP3 3) What software do you use on your PC and/or phone for playing music: iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. 4) Which of the following file types can you play on your phone or portable player: WAV, FLAC, AAC, MP3 5) Do you have problems downloading larger files from the internet (i.e., do you have problems completing the download)? Madonna - that way they can share guitar players. HA! (major tongue in major cheek along with rolling eyes) Actually, might work except.... her schedule did not align with Adam's and she often doesn't have an opening act. Lady Gaga might be a fit on paper but not in this lifetime is she touring with someone from Idol. Can you even imagine though! I think it's a perfect fit. |

Actually, might work except.... her schedule did not align with Adam's and she often doesn't have an opening act. Lady Gaga might be a fit on paper but not in this lifetime is she touring with someone from Idol. Can you even imagine though! I think it's a perfect fit. IMO - Adam would NEVER agree to be an opening act. Not for Gaga and not for Madonna. Just not in his character as far as I can "feel" him.... The fact that various and numerous WGWGs types are having success - great for them; obviously the masses love to be bored to death with the same old sound, same old look, same old vibe... too bad for the masses...  ![]() |

Good morning. I don't think Adam is the type of artist to be opening for anyone else. But if I tried to think of someone he might fit with my vote goes to Pink. I think with Adam's rock edge Pink fans could get into Adam's performances. JMHO Butterknife thanks for streaming for us again! ![]() Enjoy the show and stay cool!! |
