I've been thinking, you know when Adam has a hit and his popularity explodes it is going to be increasingly hard to get concert tickets. I'm really worried, because 1) I know this will eventually happen for Adam and 2) I don't want to get priced out of seeing Adam perform live. I know these ticket outlets buy up blocks of tickets. Is there any way that we, as a fan site, would be able to purchase a block of tickets ourselves. I know absolutely nothing about how tickets for concerts are sold, but maybe this could be something we could look into. Just imagine a whole section of Atoppers at an Adam concert! That would be so much fun! For some concerts we can buy a large block of tickets, but not up front. It is a good idea. Next Adam concert I will check on it and see what is possible.

OK I am just going to add to the pile of Mashed Potatoes. Summer 2013 Press Tour Schedule OverviewThursday, Aug. 1 – Fox Link: tvcritics.org/press-tour-schedule-overview/They usually have the Idol judges line up for that event. ETA: The Adam mention in that E! video is because he is the most famous Idol who auditioned in San Francisco. They also mention William Hung. And at least Ryan says that Adam and William Hung are from opposite sides of the spectrum. But sounds like 4 new judges. Ryan does not say 4 judges -- he say "We are finalizing the judges which will be different." On the YouTube site where they interview Ryan, E News print explanation below the video begins, "After axing all four judges..."

I'm not sure about all the mashed potatoes.
But I am hoping that the London Q+A concert for September will be announced soon.
I passed on the Queen concerts in London last summer because I had planned a vacation around the Costa Mesa and Fantasy Springs concerts, and could not afford a London vacation too.
So I am ready for London this year. But I need to know soon. I have three free nights that I can book at any Hyatt, but I will need to make reservations in the next few weeks. If London does not pan out, I will probably just go to New York, Adam or no Adam.

Someone was asking about the teenage glamberts reaction to the concert, but I'm sorry to report that I did not talk to them afterwards, I was in a state of euphoria, and went looking for friends.
ETA: removed some of my comments

Yeah Queenbert needs to let the International fans know soon because so many things need to be coordinated to make it happen!

More info: www.cultofmac.com/230144/want-to-attend-the-itunes-festival-in-september-good-luck-getting-tickets/ It is free but it is an Apple promotion. Most the tickets go to UK Residents, press and corporate folks. ** And from what I can tell ticket brokers do not resell these tickets. So if you are hoping to see anyone at the iTunes, I would say buy tickets to Vegas.

I thought that the Fan Club pre-sale basically served the function of providing hard core fans with tickets? Maybe we could work with the Fan Club to get a block of tickets if we all want to sit together. For concerts without a Fan Club pre-sale, I suspect if they could not negotiate for the tickets, it will be hard for us to do so.

Ticketmaster and many venues have an advance group sales program. But it would need to be a secondary market. I bet the Mid-California State Fair would have done something for a group. >> But there is a trade off -- the tickets are not up front. Fan club gets pretty good ticket blocks. Not the best, but far better than the general public. Promotional events, like iHeartRadio, no chance. Same for something like the iTunes Festival which has a promo lottery for the 160 tickets in the iTunes raffle.
