They need a really good character actor and then use Freddie's own singing voice. And this would be an instance where Mark Martel could dub where necessary since he can imitate Freddie's voice. JMHO.

As much work as Brian and Roger have done on this, I still can't help but think they would be relieved to NOT have SBC involved in this project. #Loose cannon For Roger and Brian, a labor of love; for SBC, a love of exploitation... Hmm, Adam has had that moustache for quite a while now. And he, unlike Sacha Baron Cohen, he can do justice to the Queen catalog. And Brian and Roger really like and respect him. Now all we need is a keek or instagram video with Adam speaking in an English accent ... (Joking, of course. But at this point, who knows, right?) Adam's too tall and too gorgeous to play Freddie. Sacha is taller than Adam, but his looks kind of close to Freddie .. But I'm glad Brian & Roger wants to keep it PG, just because Freddie's gay doesn't mean the movie has to exploit his lifestyle.

I hope not! I hope they use all Freddie's singing voice.

I don't necessarily agree that they should use Freddie's voice. It was a brilliant move in Walk the Line to have the actors do their own singing and turned a good movie into a great one. And Joaquin Phoenix doesn't look one thing like Johnny Cash. Not saying Adam will be in this movie if it ever even gets off the ground; he probably doesn't have the acting ability. But it sure is fun to think about.

I would love Adam to be part of the movie soundtrack but I totally agree about not wanting him for this role. IMO Sasha Baron Cohen was a really great choice and I think it will be hard for them to find a replacement. And I guess I disagree about keeping it PG13, if that indeed is the case. Freddie was a a rockstar at a time when sex, drugs and rock and roll went hand in hand. I guess I would prefer something a little more realistic and gritty than sanitized. It could still be respectful and honor his memory while keeping it real. JMO

I agree -- I doubt that Adam would want to play Freddie, and Adam doesn't physically resemble Freddie at all. Just silly speculation on my part. Besides, I don't understand why Brian and Roger would even want to make a Freddie bio-pic. There are already 2 good documentaries about Queen ("Days of Our Lives") and Freddie ("The Great Pretender") that were released in the last few years. And if the movie isn't done well, good luck dealing with the outrage from Queen fans. Brian and Roger certainly don't need the money, so why? I wish they would work on releasing some concert DVDs instead. Back to Adam. Hope we get some news soon. The mashed potatoes are stacked so high, they'll soon hit the ceiling.

I have always felt they should use Freddie's voice and dub it.

I keep going back to that Berlin speculation. I can't remember who brought it up initially but certain clues fit. And how about the swing dancing he & Ashley were doing (to the rinky-dink music)? Remember the swing at the Kit Kat Club in Berlin? It's a huge stretch but all of the theories seem to be huge stretches. And a QAL performance in Berlin won't help me anyway, so no dog in this fight. Oh wait!!!!!!! Sacha Baron Cohen Exits Freddie Mercury Biopic Over Creative Differenceswww.deadline.com/2013/07/sacha-baron-cohen-exits-freddie-mercury-biopic/#utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitterThanks, I brought it up, hard to find that dang pic. Could be something he and his band could do without Queen. The thing that would dissuade me is whether he would remember it. We need someone to sidle up to it obliquely in an interview. Do you remember when you were at some radio station and they asked you to draw something, no not the time you put the eye on the sheep (oooo, where was that, I haven't seen that place mashed yet), anyway do you remember what you drew and where you were at? He has a phenomenal memory but lots of things fans think are important he doesn't pay attention to.

Does anyone know what the word was for 6:00 CST? I put in the one for 5:00 EST, but it tells me that is the wrong word!
