I am visiting LA right now! My daughter moved out here less than a year ago. She has an apartment in West Hollywood. It's not swanky enough to be where Adam is, but I'm curious if she is close. My daughter is not an Adam fan so has no idea of the level of my crazy! I know I'll be looking for Adam where ever we go! On Thursday evening I'll be hanging out at the Grove while she is at work. Any atopers want to meet? I'm going to be in West Hollywood from Thurs-Mon....I have class Thur night though : ( Bettcha you can talk those ladies into still hanging out when your class is over. Go for it! |

Ryan speaks about the judging panel at 1:15. That's the most anyone has said (I think) since the whole producer, etc., shakeup. They have been pretty tight-lipped. He said he and Keith embraced and hope they will continue working together (paraphrase). Not sure if that means on Idol or some time in the future. Then he said that Idol's audience will really like the judging panel that has been put together. So, it's finalized? There are a lot of artists including Adam, Miley, and Keith at the iHeart concert....would they announce there? I wouldn't think so but ??? Doesn't seem like they'd announce it there. More likely a press release or press conference. But what do I know? |

Ya know, is Fox powerful enough to put pressure on clear channel to add QAL to the IHeart concert? Because it just seems a little strange that they would all the sudden put Adam and Queen on the bill...not that they don't deserve to be there but radio has not done anything for Adam in the past. I just wonder why all of a sudden all these great opportunities open up for Adam. If Adam is a judge on Idol this year they will want him to be out in front of people as much as possible. And doesn't Idol lead into Glee on Thursday nights? And what if Adam is going to sign with Interscope? I am just feeling that all this stuff is intertwined. Should I take my meds now? LOL I will take those same meds with you. However, wrt QAL, I don't think they are suddenly embracing Adam. I think that QAL is a package and getting Queen performing in the USA is a big deal. They would not do it unless they had a singer of Adam's caliber. Perhaps after that performance when he blows the socks etc. off everyone, clear channel will be more amendable. And if the rest of what you are wondering is true, perhaps before then. It could be an amazing confluence that will allow him to blast up the charts with a good first single. Oh how I wish it will come to pass!!!!! |

Just throwing it out there! ![]() Oooo, good one Jazz. Nica, perhaps that rib cage is big enough for a third lung that some of his friends say he has. Mighty fine looking. Yes, Nica and ljsmack, I notice the chest size also--agree with the 3rd lung. I thought people would comment on something else. |

Because of the "DREW" from the instagram. This was more a joke than anything though. Grasping at straws is part of what we're doing isn't it? I doubt he could do BW anyway because of GLEE. |

There is absolutely a reason for Queen to be there, and Elton John, etc. They are huge. |

iHR booking QAL is probably because of Queen, and more about getting viewers for the TV Show and for buzz for the event than it is about radio.
More interesting to me is Adam being booked on GLEE which is managed independently of FOX and Idol but has done a number of cross promotions with Idol over the years. If I was FOX and wanted to gauge reaction to Adam being a judge, this would be a good test. The audiences are different but similar, the press is the same. Response was extremely positive.
The other thing on the + list for Adam is we now know the Idol producers have been tried to get a British gay judge to replace Simon in 2010. They failed and got Steven T. instead.
I do not read much into Ryan mentioning that the Idol audiences will like the new panel, and that the new panel is special, or that they were making lots of changes because I think he would say that if the panel did not involve any past Idols or was filled with people we never heard of.
The fact that Keith Urban is still in the mix makes me think he might have one of the judging slots for AI13. That leave 2 or 3 chairs.
I am hoping they find someone more fun and likeable than JHud -- I am not a fan. I read a comment or tweet that JHud is what you would get if Mariah and Nicki had a child. Urgh!
I just do not know what to think about Adam's chances but I do think he would be a great choice for a judge. And the response to the GLEE announcement indicates that the response to picking Adam would be very favorable.
FOX should announce the judges on Aug 1 since that is their TV Critics Press Day. So we do not have long to wait. [They have to have something to convince critics that Idol is back.]

Haven't been here as much as I would have liked the last few days but just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear what happened with all the effort and excitement of trying for the LVegas Queenbert tickets. It's just not right.
And I have to say that until yesterday I was feeling smugly grateful to know I would be at the London Queenbert during the iTunes festival (as yet not announced) in Sept. With no travel or accommodation costs I was determined to buy the best seat possible on the re-sale market....
....until I found out that tickets cannot be bought but are 'won'....and very strict rules apply to ensure the tickets cannot be sold on or transferred. Apparently there are only 70 double tickets available to the public for each concert!! Ticket winners are simply drawn at random.....the odds are overwhelmingly bad.
Disaster!....I never win anything! I'll try of course but not holding my breath....
