EM.ES @sroczka79 1m RT @sugarscape: Avicii teases new 'disco' single 'ID (Lay Me Down)' featuring Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers - Listen on.sugarsca.pe/14xQ0wt Best song ever? Let's have a listen... Right, that's it. We're raiding our mum's box of old clothes in the attic, dusting off the flares and investing in some retro rollerskates - 'cause D-I-S-C-O's back in, baby. We've already had Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams' seventies-fest of a single 'Get Lucky', Justin Timberlake's gone a bit old school on us and even The Saturdays' new track's called 'Disco Love'. So it's only right that Swedish dance producer-type Avicii's set to continue the trend with his new tune. Yep - after beating One Direction's 'Best Song Ever' to number one at the weekend with 'Wake Me Up!', Avicii's teamed up with Adam Lambert and guitarist-off-of-the-70s Nile Rodgers on 'ID (Lay Me Down)'. Hoorah. Chatting to Digital Spy about the collab - which is the follow-up to his current summer smash featuring Aloe Blacc - Avicii said: "I did one track with Nile Rodgers and Adam Lambert that's kind of very disco." 'Kind of very disco.' Well, fancy that. Check out a preview of the new tune below. It's recorded on some form of mobile device at a gig but still manages to sound bloody amazing.

IMO all these tweets etc. about 'Lay me down' as single are jumping the gun. It's much too early!
'Wake me up' has been out in the UK for two weeks only and is topping the charts. We'll have to wait quite some time until second single will be released. It would make sense to time it together with the album release (~end Sept) but if the first one is still going strong there may be a delay. Also about the expectations that it would smash the charts, please remember that the competition will be tough (Katy Perry's first single should be out in Sept (early?) and GG in Oct. - surely many other songs too). Well, I guess top three can all sell well and can be considered as 'smash'.
Personally, I'm very happy that their collaboration seems to be included on Avicii's album. That's a great thing! Time will tell if it's going to be single or not. If yes, will it be second ot third from the album? Whatever, I'm very glad that it's being considered - and for the fact that new audiences get to hear Adam.

Hate to be a spoilsport but just want to keep it real and avoid disappointment.... The Avicii News site that is quoted everywhere does not seem to have any official capacity and no 'news' that we didn't know already. I could have written it and I know nothing. The Sugarscape article above - where it states that the Adam song is the follow-up to his current single, gets its info from the Digital Spy interview and nowhere in that does it say this. In fact, I think it mentions another single and when I get a moment I'll go back and check. No one would like this to be the next single more than me - and it may turn out to be so - but just in case.... ETA: posted at same time, Belle...
