I can't get too bummed out even if there is no label news either because frankly Adam has never looked happier. So whatever is going on in his career he does not seem to be stressing about it and that's all I need to know. Q3 commented that no one had considered the sessions with Avicii were for his album and not for A3 but I always thought that it was for Avicii's album but knew there was no guarantee that the track would make the cut. I may not have commented about it but to me it was much more likely to have been a potential Avicii cut rather than being on A3 and I know I saw at least a few others comment that way on twitter. I was actually really surprised that anyone thought it might be for A3. My sentiments exactly. Karma has been good to Adam - gotta believe. And keep on berting.

I can't blow up the world until I've heard Lay Me Down properly anyways! teddy is about on Twitter, he'll probably come back when new music is out

So weird about the judge choices. Nothing "current" if you ask me. No AI alumni either. So much for that scenario. I actually thought they might go there as everyone was talking about a "big change". All three picks have been in the business and they know the ropes. Maybe it will be about the contestants. I haven't watched since Adam so am happy that I'm not going to become even more obsessed with seeing Adam. I mean how many times would I have watched and rewatched each AI episode if he had been judging. It's scary to think about. eta: I recently saw a perfume ad featuring JLo in a teen magazine. She looked so out of place compared to the other ads featuring people more in the magazine's target audience. Not dissing her successful career, I commend her for diversifying, etc. eta: went to Brian's kickstarter page. I don't understand what he is trying to do. The first sentence of the project scope reads, "I'm working on creating music videos in order to create video content." What does that mean on an industry level? Anyone know? These days record labels don't even look at artists unless they have a fan base of some sort. For instance Claude Kelly's protege, Masha does lots of youtube cover songs trying to build a fan base on youtube. The videos Brian describes are of live performance of two of their original songs. They can then use this as a starting point to build an audience and also as he said to show to venue managers to get performance slots. Granted they are talking about small venues but when trying to get a slot having a professionally done video of actual live performance will help in the pitch. They are probably looking to get showcase gigs to develop interest in an album. Hey! Thanks for the explanation. It now makes sense. I hope they get a lot of support. I'd hate to see TJ return to his cubicle job whilst waiting for Q3.

What a change from last year when I was so attached to Adam getting Idol. It's fun to giggle about it now because I don't think Adam was overlooked..he was overbooked. And I am having a great time joshing about Idol. Could totes care what happens to the show anymore. And now I'll shutteth up and move on. SO relieved they didn't string it out any longer.

Finally, just to close the loop on one more unresolved item -- the LifeBall song release approval issue must have been Adam since he was no longer under the RCA contract. My guess is he knew LMD was coming and did not want to muck it up. Very smart. Oh that makes sense. I still think it's a total waste that we'll never hear LWOG properly. I was pretty hyped up for that song and seemed to me like Life Ball and Adam both just chucked it away like garbage. But if it was to free things up from RCA then it was probably worth it

He does not fake it that well. ** Regarding Avicii -- perhaps someone posted it but all the posts I can find assumed it was an A3 demo session. And why not? April was before Avicii's album was announced -- WMU was released in June, 2013. Before that "Levels" and "I Could Be the One" were US Club hits -- no way to know that WMU was going to be so big. I can only speak for myself, with all the news and drama -- RCA, iHeartRadio MF/Queen, Glee, Idol -- I forgot about the deleted tweet about Avicii. In addition, I certainly had no idea Adam had separated from RCA in April. Because there is no chance they would let him do that collaboration. Finally, just to close the loop on one more unresolved item -- the LifeBall song release approval issue must have been Adam since he was no longer under the RCA contract. My guess is he knew LMD was coming and did not want to muck it up. Very smart. I had this feeling and something's bothering me when I didn't see Dana traveling with Adam since South Africa concert. Maybe when they found out that RCA will not support the US tour, Adam and DMG have seen this coming so that's why Dana stayed in the state to taking care of things for Adam.

OK..I'll place bets..the revamps Idol has done are: 1) Paid beaucoup dollars for retread judges...except Keith probably is getting screwed. Can't pay everyone the big bucks, ya know.. 2) There won't be a Burt Bacharach theme week. 3) Idol got rid of some disgusting producers and replaced them with clones. 4) Idol got rid of the contestants. Film some sob story lines and show one each week. 5) The Idol winner will be Randy Jackson 6) Jimmy Iovine will mentor in drag. I'd say these are among the reasons Ryan Seacrest knew that the US would be SO excited for the upcoming shows. I'm excited...you??? Please feel free to add on to the list..it might be fun..and perhaps accurate too.. Maybe they'll start a rule where the first sentence out of any judge's mouth CANNOT be about the contestant's clothing/ physical appearance. (I'd love THAT, personally.) :D

IMO, Adam didn't want the Lifeball song released because, first, it's really not that great a song; and, second, it doesn't represent the direction he is currently wishing to move toward. It has NOTHING to do with the chance that his collab with Avicii might be a single. Nothing. Bottom line, the collaboration is great. No question. But it is Avicii's song and Avicii's album. Adam will not even have a "feature" on this song. That's not how it works with a DJ recording. Vocals are secondary. It is not going to be an "Adam single," although obviously it's a great experience for Adam to have and I am totally excited to hear it (as well as the Imagine Dragons song)

We could form the Atop chorus and you'd lay you down and tears would flow.... Yup, figured the bear might not show up until we had something concrete. But what a treat to see you again!

I haven't respected Ryan S. since he played that "bottom 3" garbage with Adam that one time on AI8 years ago -- takes me awhile to get over things.
