Well, I am hoping that the comment about scheduling conflicts means that ADAM TURNED DOWN IDOL. Because he HAD BETTER THINGS TO DO. Things that we will like more, and will advance his career in exciting new ways. I'm choosing to see it as a win for Adam and Glamberts. (And a wise decision on Adam's part to politely say "no" to being on the Titanic as it slips into the frigid ocean.) This x 1000. I'm honestly a little relieved.

So the Dawg will be making appearances on Idol from time to time.. Seems like nobody wants to get off that IDOL cash cow.
IMHO JHud and Adam are much more current and relevant artists in today's pop scene than the panel. Just saying

OK..I'll place bets..the revamps Idol has done are: 1) Paid beaucoup dollars for retread judges...except Keith probably is getting screwed. Can't pay everyone the big bucks, ya know.. 2) There won't be a Burt Bacharach theme week. 3) Idol got rid of some disgusting producers and replaced them with clones. 4) Idol got rid of the contestants. Film some sob story lines and show one each week. 5) The Idol winner will be Randy Jackson 6) Jimmy Iovine will mentor in drag. I'd say these are among the reasons Ryan Seacrest knew that the US would be SO excited for the upcoming shows. I'm excited...you??? Please feel free to add on to the list..it might be fun..and perhaps accurate too..

Amy @80s_and_sunny 1m Holy crap, look what's #1 right now (iTunes Dance Chart) gahhhhhhh Adam pic.twitter.com/hqZdfTb011 nice, but has very littlae to do with Adam. When Adam's/Nile's song is up there as a single then I'll celebrate. We know Avicii is popular. From my limited observation (of my DD+friends) the EDM listening crowd probably doesn't even know whose vocals are on the record, they mostly care about the DJ... Finally someone who gets it. I have been saying the same thing. This is Avicii's music and the vocals are secondary. I think Adam as a shoot at gaining more fans from this song. I DO LOVE IT!!!! But, the artist here is Avicii. It is his album and Adam is just a contributor. The song "Lay Me Down" speaks volumes to the kind of artist Adam can be. He can work with anyone. Nile saw that and magic happened. Adam is in the right place right now. All is good from my stan!!!!!

I can't get too bummed out even if there is no label news either because frankly Adam has never looked happier. So whatever is going on in his career he does not seem to be stressing about it and that's all I need to know. Q3 commented that no one had considered the sessions with Avicii were for his album and not for A3 but I always thought that it was for Avicii's album but knew there was no guarantee that the track would make the cut. I may not have commented about it but to me it was much more likely to have been a potential Avicii cut rather than being on A3 and I know I saw at least a few others comment that way on twitter. I was actually really surprised that anyone thought it might be for A3. I agree, Adam is fine and happy. He does not fake it that well. ** Regarding Avicii -- perhaps someone posted it but all the posts I can find assumed it was an A3 demo session. And why not? April was before Avicii's album was announced -- WMU was released in June, 2013. Before that "Levels" and "I Could Be the One" were US Club hits -- no way to know that WMU was going to be so big. I can only speak for myself, with all the news and drama -- RCA, iHeartRadio MF/Queen, Glee, Idol -- I forgot about the deleted tweet about Avicii. In addition, I certainly had no idea Adam had separated from RCA in April. Because there is no chance they would let him do that collaboration. Finally, just to close the loop on one more unresolved item -- the LifeBall song release approval issue must have been Adam since he was no longer under the RCA contract. My guess is he knew LMD was coming and did not want to muck it up. Very smart.

Oh jeeze, now Randy is coming back in some capacity. I still don't get why they fired people and brought in new people to revamp the show. I was interested in Adam being on when I thought they were changing things but when I started to hear Jlo and Will.i.am I sstarted losing that interest. Now Randy? Sounds truly awful. And Ryan saying it's an exciting panel? Doesn't he have to say that? He probably can't say "you thought last year was bad!" Maybe he thinks it's great, idk. I wonder what he was thinking when NPH was excited and talking about Adam.
