Why depressed? Because it detracts from Adam's good looks, and it adds 10 years. Adam already has the older women, so not a problem with that demographic. But i would be surprised if young women like it. And gay men hate a mustache. It is considered 70's, sleazy and unwholesome. I just can't see this look helping to add fans when he appears on "Glee" - and isn't that the purpose of being on "Glee"?
"Lovelace" is the bio of Linda Lovelace, the pornstar of the 70s. I don't see anyone notable outside the stars of the film attending.
So I wonder why Adam would bother. To me, it just makes him appear desperate.

I can't stand the mustache.. He looks like a porn star especially at the LOVELACE thing.. Come on ADAM where is that gorgeous clean face. I love ADAM,but I find myself turning away from photos with the stache.. ENOUGH already just saying .. don't hate on me .. for my looks barometer. I miss my ADAM LOL, this sums it up pretty well @hlovelambert 3m @adamlambert please without melvin? because U look like my father! "sorry if U offended"!! Mellimom: me too... ETA: for me it is not so much the stache or even the soul patch. What I really obsess about is the chin/cheek stuff. Makes the face look so dirty and cuts off/masks his beautiful jaw line. But really, I agree with what heathcliff said above about other reasons Adam benefits from a clean face. And as some already know, my feeling of the stubble look is not just Adam. I don't like it on most guys and will be in heaven when that fashion trend goes away - I may literally be in heaven at the rate the stubble look is not going away. I need to stop obsessing. but it is getting worse. Maybe I need an intervention:-) |

Yep, I checked wireimage, The stache is still there. Sorry, I find it very depressing. But then I find Adam attending this movie premiere to be depressing. This movie has major actors. What's the problem? I think today's headline needs to be changed to "Adam Not in New York"  |

He didn't have a problem attending Brad Pitt's movie premiere. So, I'll make a guess and say that he's just showing up because he wants to.
