I floved his look at HH's! The pants are wicked! Oh and the fluffy hair, trimmed stache and clear face are a massive bonus:)))

Since it is thursday, have not seen too many "Throw back Thursday" photos so am posting this one. One of my early all time favorites.

This was in Grease, not Bye, Bye Birdie! See the end of the sign that says "ELL HS"? This is Rydell High School, which was the school in Grease!

Adam said that RCA was only willing to support an album of covers. He was not willing to make that album. So they agreed to part ways. Nile says Adam was dropped by his label. The two statements are not in conflict. If my boss tells me she wants me to to work on X project or accept Y position or move to Z city and it is not negotiable, but I refuse, I am let go. Or I resign first and walk away. No matter what you call it, my job is over. Their choice not to let me do the work I am committed to and was hired to do. My choice not to do the work they want. Actually, I have been there and faced that dilemma. It is striking to me how many times people have had the opportunity to have Adam do what he does so well, and have turned him down. And ironic how many times Adam ended up the winner regardless of their lack of insight. He tries out for We Will Rock You and doesn't get past the first audition. Years later, he is singing with Queen. THE Queen. To rave reviews and high praise from Roger and Brian themselves. He tries out for Glee and they turn him down because he doesn't fit the role of a high school student. Years later, they are writing a role specifically for Adam to portray on Glee. Adam "loses" American Idol. Years later, he is one of the most successful and recognizable Idol contestants ever (and widely thought to have been the best of all seasons). Adam is up for an Idol judging job and they decide they don't want him. The panel they choose is a disaster in the eyes of the audience and the press. While Adam goes on to win more and more acclaim and respect as an artist and a positive role model. RCA decides not to exercise their option to record Adam's next album. Adam goes on to record with Nile and Avicii in what Nile says will be a huge hit (and I am believing that will soon come true). Somehow, the Universe looks out for Adam. Or Adam stays true to himself and works his ass off and ends up succeeding despite the lack of insight of others. Or both. I believe we are just beginning to see what Adam will do. USA Queenbert, Avicii, Glee, A3, and who knows what other projects that will surprise and delight us. I don't think I am the only one who has the gut feeling that Adam is about to triumph again. Can't wait to see what happens. P.S. Did anyone else notice in the club interview that when asked about performing with Queen, Adam starts to add something about more possible shows, but is cut off by something off camera and distracted, not finishing his statement. Hmmmmmm. Can someone point me to a YouTube of this club interview? At about 6:15...

thelambertluvva said: Besides these things happening, I have been quite encouraged by the posts of two Asians in IDF (the one South Korean and one Thai). If you haven't already heard, IIHU is charting now on the South Korean equivalent of Billboard and the Thai person said every time she turns on the TV, the NCOE video is playing. She said this is not just Thailand but all over Asia. They are even suggesting he come back to Asia and tour and Sony should re-release Trespassing. I have been keeping an eye on NCOE video because it seems to be gaining views quickly for an old song without radio play. In the last five days it gained, 16,968, 16,628, 17,749 and 15,097 which is a pretty good clip IMO. By comparison, trespassing ,which we are pushing as fans on Atop, gains a little over 3K a day. I wonder if this view increase could be because of Asian fans? That's interesting, jean1010. I bet that it is what it is. Are all Asian countries able to see YouTube videos? I wonder if it is his video with the highest daily rate of increase. And given that IIHU is charting in South Korea, I wonder if it also getting a high daily rate of increase.

Wow, I agree with you. Adele, great songs but tired of them. And this video--his voice is so unsteady and amateurish. We ARE spoiled. Must be doing something right if his voice is carrying a song to #1 on most of the world's charts I didn't listen to other songs, but you are right, he must be doing something right. As we all know, it doesn't take a great, or even good, singer to have a hit. Joe Cocker, anyone? Bob Dylan?

I think the dark color just starting to fade so it looks softer since it goes back to his natural color.

I don't remember that he traveled with a vocal coach. More info please. I remember before (?) GlamNation a student of an LA vocal teacher Twittered that his lesson got changed because Adam Lambert wanted a coaching session. That's all I've ever heard. Also I remember Adam saying that he worked with a coach to alter song keys, etc., for GN to make sure he would not over stress his voice. I thought there was a vocal coach traveling with him on the Idol tour. Maybe he was there for everyone. Oh IDOL TOUR. I was just thinking of his solo concerts. A coach for all ten of them might make sense. Seems a bit extravagant to me, but it's not my money.
