I get what you all are saying about the wait. I became a fan after all the Idol and GNT blitz of articles, interviews and performances. I cannot even imagine having so much tofollow each day, so maybe it is different for me. I have been very pleased with how much is going on now. I think it is also a little about what we each get from this stanning. If you are riding the waves of highs he provides then things can feel bleek. But I also enjoy the introspection he has given me and the emotion he has left me in his "old"music.
On my summer roadtrip I heard on the radio Queen, and Let's Dance, and Pharrell, and Nile, and Avicci, and Same Love, and his name advertised for the concert on IHeart stations all across the country. I went to the amusement park and heard NCOE played for the first time ever. I felt like Adam was with me. And I felt like he has been right there on the cusps of what's hot all along. His time will come (his time has come too) and we will learn to breath between the hills and valleys of the rollercoaster. But he aint going anywhere, so I feel I have the time to wander off to other things and know he will follow me.

Just a couple of thoughts.... 1. New Adam music -- we know he is working on music. Nancy Sinatra did not hear him rehearsing though his condo wall -- so he is not in his bedroom. My guess is that we get a single in Q1 2014 and an album in Spring 2014. That is 2 years from Trespassing. In the meantime he will be in the public eye on Glee, with Queen at iHeartRadio, with Nile later this week, and I am certain other places. 2. Adam said he wanted longevity and he wants to explore acting and he wants to express who he is as an artist and a person. I think he is doing that. Finally, there is some projection about Adam feeling down, I really do not know what this is based on. He seems to be balancing work and spending time with friends and family and having a good time. And the man I saw him in Pittsburgh and California was as happy as I have ever seen him. We do not know how he felt about the break-up with Sauli but they are still friends and I take Adam at his word -- it happened gradually over time. It does not appear to be a devastating event in his life. Just a relationship that ended. RCA and Adam split up was something he knew about long before we did and was clearly in the works for months. And financially, Adam came out on the good side of that deal because he got the big Idol contract advance for Trespassing. Balance that out with what has happened in the past year -- getting recognition from the gay community, the successful entry into China, getting a real acting part in Glee, getting to collaborate with anyone he wants to including Avicii, being a headliner at the most important music festival in the world, etc. I think Adam is moving toward his goals. I think there are some fans who are not happy because they measure Adam's success by being bigger than Katy and Gaga/or within the Idol Bubble Carrie and Kelly. Well, that does not appear to be Adam's plan nor has he said that is what he wants. ETA: There is so much more to being a successful entertainer than broadcast radio. And no one can predict radio hits in advance (except that "Roar" is headed to the top of the chart.) Seriously, who would have picked Robin Thicke to have a global mega hit on his 15th single? Or that Daft Punk would go mainstream with "Get Lucky"? Honestly, I don't think anyone on this board would even begin to measure his success with that of Katy or Gaga. It just can't be done. I do think some people (myself included) will feel a whole lot better when we get news that he has a major label deal. And people are just coming to terms with the fact that it may be a long wait and we will have to be patient.

just to clarify...like bullsfan I'm not "blue" in the least, and I certainly am not making any "demands" on Adam (Good Lord!). I'm just not as entertained as I was, and that's MY problem. I think I'll take up cassie's suggestion and go check out one of them there library thingies. I think I read that someone might be streaming the Adam/Nile/Avicii performance on the 19th....now THAT will be cool!

Bulls fan said:
I do think he is in a rebuilding, transitional time where there is probably a lot going on behind the scenes. Before he can even think of releasing music, he needs a better foundation---things like Glee and collabs with people like Avicii are certainly working toward that end. I am just going to have to be patient as Adam and DMG and whoever else get it done.
I find this a wise statement. Adam needs to build a stronger foundation on which to launch his next album. He is under new management now, and I think they are smart and must have a master plan to build his support base before the next music. I think Glee will be a huge step in this direction as was Avicii collaboration etc. I am sure there will be other things too. If he released without the proper groundwork it might be a repeat of what happened to Trespassing and we do not what that, wonderful as album was. I know that he will release a new album when the time is ripe.

I was just happy to hear that Nancy "Boots" Sinatra heard Adam singing thru the walls! To me, it means he's in a great mood. Who knows, it may have been something he wrote.

I guess I am not really "waiting" for anything from Adam. I look forward to getting new music but in the short term, I will be able to buy LMD in 35 days but I am not putting up a countdown clock and waiting for it.
Setting that aside, I feel kind of bad for Avicii. His #REVEAL was a bit of a bust. A very elaborate "live" event that even bored fans and got no media pick-up. Perhaps it is a good think that LMD was not the associated song.
ETA: Just saw this on Twitter....seemed right for today.

And people are just coming to terms with the fact that it may be a long wait and we will have to be patient. I can't even count the number of time I have read comments like "Why can't Adam get radio airplay like Katy and Gaga?" here, on Twitter and on other Adam forums. And, yes, even on this forum which tends to be quite realistic, people have posted that they want Adam to be bigger than Katy Perry or Lady Gaga. And how many of us would be gleefully happy to post that Adam had 6 #1 hits in a row as was the biggest star from Idol? I admit it, I would love to post that! I know it is almost impossible but would love it. *** On the "major label deal" -- Adam may or may not sign a new major label deal. It depends on what he wants to do and the best deal for him. He could sign a major label deal or a deal with an independent label that has distribution, or a deal with an independent associated with UMG or SME for global distribution. Or he could produce his own album and sign only a distribution and promotion deal. The business is changing rapidly and the major labels that remain (Sony, Universal, Warner) are producing very little new music and selling less. I am sure we will get a new album. I am convinced that it will be in the first half of 2014. And, I am pretty sure it will be the music Adam wants to release with no compromises.
