From the standpoint of someone who doesn't live in such a diverse society, and therefore doesn't have a clue, I have to say that this whole AI judgeship insistence on including all major ethnicities seems a bit vulgar to me. Like members of Hispanic etnicity won't watch if they're not represented? I don't get it. It's like some kind of reverse racism, or anti-racism gone wrong. Sorry for the heavy word. Is it some kind of an unspoken rule or is it contractual? Or is it just business, something they find most profitable? I don't know... it feels wrong to me. This is not quite true In Idol's case .. 3 out of the 4 judges ,on Idol, last year were of African American heritage.. Years gone by there were mostly white judges.. So this is a very new thing,made up by I don't know who. If Idol wanted to represent all Americans.. the judges would take up the entire audience. Oh, sorry. I guess you're right. I guess the speculations here messed with my head:) |

Gee - after following the progression of the blogs "copying", but misinterpreting the THR article, they would all flunk Journalism 101. Maybe I missed something, but I think that last one referring to Ryan saying the judges would be announced "very, very soon" was taken from an article weeks ago.   |
