It's an unspoken rule, or gentleman's agreement as it's sometimes called. (For example, the city council where I live has at-large representation -- one seat is just known to be the "black seat" and one the Hispanic seat and people of other races are not supposed to run for those seats; and the reverse is true). Aleks, Americans like to quantify everything and make it into a system. Anything further I could say would get into areas that are very controversial here in the States.  Oh. I get it Thanks, Junie. This is not quite true In Idol's case .. 3 out of the 4 judges ,on Idol, last year were of African American heritage.. Years gone by there were mostly white judges.. So this is a very new thing,made up by I don't know who. If Idol wanted to represent all Americans.. the judges would take up the entire audience. Oh, sorry. I guess you're right. I guess the speculations here messed with my head:) Randy has been a judge since season 1 so there was never an all white panel. XF hasn't had one and either has Voice or SingOff! And most people do not even know that Mariah is not all white. Aleks, the diversified panel really has nothing to o with racism as you or others might think of it. It has to do with advertisers wanting the viewers to identify with the show. We are a very diversified country, VERY!!! Plus, American Idol is international. So the show is cast to reflect the diversification. To use a simplified example, If a young Hispanic girl can relate to JLo and drink Coke because JLo is, then why not! |

When he had lavender hair? ..  He didn't -- this is photoshopped or enhanced by a fan. Looks nice. It had a lavendar tone for a few dayss when he explained that he used too much of the "bluing" shampoo. But this is definitely photo shopped! |

Adam had a banner for a very long time of that photo from London during Queen where he and Sauli were sitting together and you could see parts of them in round mirrors. This morning he changed that and put up the Trespassing photo above for a very sort time, like minutes. Then he took it down and changed it to just a plain black banner. So the banner "being taken down" that most are talking about was the one from London. |
