“@nilerodgers I just got a beautiful email from @adamlambert. It's was a nice note to read before I rest tonight. He's a real gentlemen.”” Retweeted by Michele (◑_◑) I saw this tweet below in the member tweet section...from oblakickinin I checked Niles tweets and cannot find it ....so maybe I cannot interpret who initially sent the tweet. Before making a comment, I would appreciate someone's opinion on it. Thanks! I'm pretty sure that's an old tweet.

Hi. I've decided to come out of lurking because I feel finally Adam is going in a direction that should have happened a long time ago. Adam has had some great opportunities but also a lot of mistakes has happened with that. With 19R/RCA no longer in the picture I feel now is when his career is just beginning. I am so glad you delurked and I agree with you about Adam's current direction.

He seems quite loose and happy to me as well. Because he also has lots of goodwill and credibility in the industry, I can't wait to see what happens next. It has been enjoyable watching him lately (although it's always enjoyable....).

I am assuming he does not have a major label contract because if there was a signed deal, there would be a press release. It could easily take 6 months to strike a new deal -- sometimes artist take a year -- particularly if they just came out of a less than perfect label relationship -- AKA new RCA. I really am sure that DMG has this one covered. ETA: Adam has been working with one of the best law firms in the business. No reason to think he would get stupid and not work with them now. What law firm has he been working with? The past public filings have been handled by Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown, Inc. Beverly Hills, California Office (their main office). They are entertainment law specialists. Kevin S. Marks represented him on the Colwel Platinum mess. From Martindale.com: Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown, Inc. focuses on general transactional representation in the entertainment industries and also furnishes counseling and representation in connection with intellectual property, personal business matters, wealth transfers and real estate.

Hi. I've decided to come out of lurking because I feel finally Adam is going in a direction that should have happened a long time ago. Adam has had some great opportunities but also a lot of mistakes has happened with that. With 19R/RCA no longer in the picture I feel now is when his career is just beginning. First of all: Welcome on board! Would love to hear more about why you are thinking that a different direction should have been taken, but was not in earlier years. My gut feeling is that you are completely right about what you said at the end, that this is a new beginning towards bigger things to come. But one nagging question I have is, why RCA was not able to offer him similar collaborations? Is this a question of label alliences (i.e. RCA sends everybody who is pop to the Dr. Luke hit factory, etc.) or was this a question that nobody could envision such an unusual collaboration (EDM DJ, old school funk/disco guitarist, pop/rock vocalist), or was it that they pegged Adam differently? I for one, don't believe that RCA pegged Adam actually, they gave him quite a bit of free reign to make unorthodox music, but I do think that both other reasons have something to them. I think RCA's real issue though was that they did not know what to do with Adam promotion wise. They DID initially spend money, but not necessarily wisely. Money alone does not make anything whole (just see the 48 million that idol is spending on three seasons of JLo to get an example of that - boggles my mind). Well, you can also throw away money on a promotion strategy that does not yield expected results and I think that this is what RCA found, but did not know how to fix. Being away from RCA has meant that anybody and everybody could seek to collaborate with him without any strings attached. I do think that for the moment, it actually makes things easier and more open for Adam. And given that he is in such high demand everywhere, it does seem to be working for him. Now, if we could just know a bit more, how far along he is, how many of these new tracks are for his album, what the overall direction is and just in general what all is going on, it would be even better. But meanwhile we live off the secondary news and morsels that are thrown our way and today these morsels sounded very intriguing indeed.
