The most simple answer to that is RCA did not care anymore. I know fans like to put all the blame on RCA but the real culprits were 19R. 19R had a lot of say so in album direction and single selections. The problems really started in era1 we just happened to see the final effect in era2. It's not RCA job to expand Adam's fanbase that was 19M's job. The fact that they let Adam headline a tour even though it was successful was not a smart move. They should have mixed it with him opening for bigger acts. Opening for someone isn't a guarantee but a visual artist like Adam is more likely to pick up fans from other visual artists. I would have left the headlining for his International tour which is were he made most of his money and worked hard to expand his U.S. base. Adam wasn't booked at a lot of festivals that all the up and comers were doing. It was like 19M already thought Adam was a superstar. They sat back and rode the wave of all the buzz Adam was getting which no Idol had gotten before him just coming of the show. Also I don't know if some of you remembere but there was a story I think Z100 from someone that work there that RCA was selling Adam hard to them. The impression I got back than was they almost resented having Adam shoved on them. If you remember Adam wasn't doing the typical radio promo. RCA didn't even booked him for those Jingle Balls. It was months later until they got their acts together and realized that Adam was going to have to do the hard work needed. So many mistakes I can't even. I also blame 19m on how they branded Adam.

“@nilerodgers I just got a beautiful email from @adamlambert. It's was a nice note to read before I rest tonight. He's a real gentlemen.”” Retweeted by Michele (◑_◑) I saw this tweet below in the member tweet section...from oblakickinin I checked Niles tweets and cannot find it ....so maybe I cannot interpret who initially sent the tweet. Before making a comment, I would appreciate someone's opinion on it. Thanks! It was sent by Niles on April 13, 2011 at 3:39AM . I wasn't sure which part of the world Nile was, at that time. As far as I know, time is given for the time zone of the person viewing the tweet. My cap says 4:39 AM because I am in the Eastern Time Zone and it's probably Eastern Daylight Time. Whoever capped the one above must be in the Central Time Zone, one hour earlier than mine. It's interesting that this is 6 months before the Sam Sparro (Oct 14, 2011) tweet asking Nile to play on Adam's funky-as-hell track.I read the date wrong, it's 2013, not 2011. twitter.com/nilerodgers/status/322267662484926464

I seem to remember this was after they did Shady.

Sort of OT, but it really won't be long until Adam sings with Queen. It got me thinking about his EMA 2011 performance. Pretty much a secret until he tweeted that we might want to watch that awards show. We debated about whether he might be one of several singing with Queen. I don't know that any of us were prepared for what they did! The Show Must Go On was stunning, and the whole performance was amazing. It was a shame that as fast as the You Tubes went up, they came back down, so I think a lot of people in the U.S. did not see that performance. I looked on MTV and it may have a clip of Selena swatting a fly, but TSMGO is "not available." But it is back on You Tube - TPTB must be slipping... Anyway, as great as the concerts last year were, the EMA performance is right up there. ETA: Ha! the video is reversed! But the sound is great!!

Chuckling at date format issues.... It's a old tweet, but how old? The date format I have on my twitter screen is (for example) "8:08 PM - 23 Aug 13" - which would mean that the above tweet was from Apr 2013, not Apr 2011. Unless different people somehow display different date formats (ick!). Would Apr of this year be the time Adam and Nile recorded LMD? That Tweet is from April 13, 2011 -- the format of the date depends on your Twitter setting and it defaults based on your location. My date right now (US Eastern) is 12:02 AM - 24 Aug 13. Click the tweet link: twitter.com/nilerodgers/status/322267662484926464Click on More and choose Embed Tweet. That will give you the the time and date as 4:39 AM - 11 Apr 2013. I think you live in the same time zone as I do, so it should be the same.

Honestly, I do wonder why we (Americans) persist in doing dates in MMDDYY format, and still use the English system of measures with even the English have abandoned. Although we seem to do fine with liters for alcohol. ** NEW THREAD IS UP!

Before I go to the new thread, what happens to the tweet time when you travel?
Does the time change to whatever time zone you are in?
Does the time stay the same as your home time?

Well thank you everyone for your help on when the tweet was sent, as it also helps to frame which project/ performance/work or collaboration it aligned with.
All in all.... It was a very thoughtful thing for Adam to do, and it must have meant a lot to Nile to then tweet about it. Nile does like to keep fans in the loop.
Niles solid career is bursting wide open. He is in demand. He also has a new song on the Tensnake album. ( just saw that on his twitter today.) My hope for the three song development is: one each for Nile's album with his new label, and the Mystery Skulls album, ..and one on hold for Adam. Avicii already has one with Nile and Adam. Hopefully he was not to greedy and got another one! He has his True album to flog!

Hi. I've decided to come out of lurking because I feel finally Adam is going in a direction that should have happened a long time ago. Adam has had some great opportunities but also a lot of mistakes has happened with that. With 19R/RCA no longer in the picture I feel now is when his career is just beginning.
