Btw , Was Adamtopia up and running (Well , I guess it was PF at that time) When the AMA's happened ? How many pages did the thread go ? LOL !! And , whether it was up and running , or not , how was YOUR reaction (After the initial "WTAF just happened" moment) . I wasn't a Glambert back then , So I didn't watch live . And when I googled Adam Lambert , read thru his Wiki page , read about the controversy of that performance , and THEN I watched it on youtube . I didn't get to experience the "Shock" . I already knew what he did cuz I read it on Wikipedia first , LOL . So , Glamberts who experienced the live thing , what was your HONEST first reaction ? (We all love Adam here , we are All Glambert , and we are a Glamily . Share your true feelings here , nobody is gonna judge) At that time, most of us were hangout at MJs. Then some were migrated to Planet Fierce, then Q3 created Atopian? (I don't think I remembered the name correctly) and then to Adamtopia. After watching AMA, I was more worried that press would say something about his almost fall on the performance. I didn't even think that the kiss would take over the performance.. LOL.

Glambert Instagrammed the surreptitious snap with the slug “Red velvet diva @iggyazalea I had to snap a shot…” LOVE IT.” We have to say we’re proud of the Aussie Artist to Watch nominee for chowing down on a slice of red-velvet cake. We haven’t eaten anything bigger than a Tic Tac in public in ten years. In fact, Iggy really went to town, scarfing down some fried chicken while One Direction‘s Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, and Rita Ora mugged for the cameras. Lesson learned: Do not get inbetween Iggy Azalea and her carbs! LOL... this picture just showed that the girl is not afraid to eating those thousands callories from the red velvet cake and the chicken wings..

I watched Adam and was unmoved by all that he did ,except for his fall and his somewhat poor performance.. It was the backlash that seemed to last forever that was so painful to me as a fan. I truly believe that kiss helped advance rights in the LGBT Community.. Adam wanted to know why the women POP stars, like Britney and Madonna could be so sexual and accepted, while the male pop stars and especially gay performers couldn't be.The kiss set up a huge conversation.. and I believe changed much about male on male kissing now on TV,in the movies,in magazines, etc. IMHO they owe Adam a big thank you for that new freedom. Adam is honest and bold with a killer voice.. so he was able to move ahead. he also has the most loyal fans and probably for each fan he may have lost because of his sexuality at the AMAS,he gained world wide interest and many new fans. He is still a media magnet today.

My first reaction to the AMA performance- I was horrified and almost sick to my stomach at the fear that his career was over almost before it started. I hated the crotch/face smoosh - then the almost violent kiss and the grabbing at the woman's crotch and then he slipped and fell and then the grand finale of his hostile facial expression along with the finger. I do think that by the time he fell, he was out of it and running on adrenalin. He said he cried after that and I believe he did. I was stunned and disappointed and was so glad none of my family was watching with me. I had to re-evaluate my fandom and decided this man was worth it all. I am thankful that RCA stood behind him and Oprah, for one, had his back. Ellen too. I love those women for that. I know some loved that performance. For me, I get that sick feeling just reliving it today. And I know fans who wrote him off that night and never gave him another chance. I have heard some say, well, he didn't need those fans anyway. Yes he did - they were just stunned and confused that this person was the man they supported and they couldn't see past that performance to the man we know and love. I feel bad about that. I also had that sick feeling. I wasn't bothered so much by what he did but because I knew it would get a hugely negative reaction. As soon as he started to sing that intro and was ever so slightly off key, I thought, oh no! I saw it online after the east coast showing. Didn't watch the west coast airing because by that time my DH was already getting annoyed by my stanning. He saw the performance later on some news show and I think it turned him off for good. It didn't dampen my appreciation for Adam though and I thout he handled the whole hullabaloo well.

Thank you guys for sharing those feelings I have another question : in that performance , they mute something Adam sings/says/ "Give it to you till you ................." Anybody knows what he says there ? Wal , sorry that your daughter is not a fan :( . She's missing out on so much !! FanOfTheMan , When did Adam say he cried ?!? Omg :( . And btw Sorry I made re-live that AMA "aftermath" today :( Mszue , THAT must have been one hell of a roller-coaster !! He said that he cried in one of the interviews afterward. Just to add - I think the crotch/face thing was the worst, but I understand they edited that and the finger out so that the entire country didn't see those moves. Everyone saw the kiss and the fall and the grabbing at the female's crotch.

I truly believe that kiss helped advance rights in the LGBT Community.. Adam wanted to know why the women POP stars, like Britney and Madonna could be so sexual and accepted, while the male and especially gay population couldn't be.The kiss set up a huge conversation.. and I believe changed much about male on male kissing now on TV,in the movies,in magazines, etc. IMHO they owe Adam a big thank you for that new freedom. I think Adam paid a huge price, and has had to work doubly hard for everything, when he had it all before that performance. That's exactly how I felt. The whole thing seemed blown out of proportion. I got to the point where I just wanted to shout, "All right, shut up about it already! No one died!" The thing is, though, that that move was clearly part of the pre-approved choreography. How do I know? The woman was wearing a costume with a cord and a ring hanging from the crotch. Why was it there if not for someone to tug on, like the pull on a bus or trolley to signal a stop? I think we can be pretty sure that Adam wasn't responsible for the costumes. That was a planned move, and it didn't shock me, because he didn't even touch the woman. He just pulled the cord. I thought it was amusing. I'm fairly certain that the only two moves that weren't planned were the kiss with Tommy and the pulling of the male dancer's face to his crotch. The former shouldn't have been an issue at all, and wouldn't have been if Tommy had been female. The face-to-crotch move was clearly a bad decision on Adam's part--too graphic for television. But really--no big deal in the large scheme of things. The sorrow I felt at the performance was that I'd hoped it was going to be a chance to really show the non-Idol-watching world what an amazing vocalist he is, but even if his singing had been of its usual quality (which it wasn't, but I have to say he still sounded better than many of the other performers), it was overshadowed by the controversy, and that made me really sad.

Adam, bless his funloving heart had a nice night i believe and most of it wasn't anything worse than other Shows (better singing would be nice), but what i just can't find funny is Miley's love for letting her Tongue nearly trying always to escape her mouth. It Looks really bad and yikes, it also loóks like a yeast plantation is growing on it. Adam is the Epitome of male perfection, he just looked like a Superstar, while some of These stars looked like they got their clothes from a dumpster search.

Ok so I guess it was only a matter of time before we went went all back in time and revisted AMAs...
I wasn't shocked, I wasn't horrified. The singing was not up to his usual standard but pretty much only glamberts noticed that. Mostly I laughed my ass off and thought it was grand. Why was what I think was ok for Adam not ok for Miley? I can't put my finger on it exactly - will have to come back on that once I do.

I was lucky because, since it was my first time to see Adam, I had no expectations. In fact, I adhered at that time to the Idol stigma and assumed that he had no talent, so I was just captivated by the spectacle. I couldn't believe when he did the fellatio thing, I was just stunned at what this guy was doing. I remember the crazy rough kiss but I didn't realize Tommy was a boy. I remember all the next day as the controversy unfolded, thinking they were just wrong about that, that Tommy was a girl. One of my sisters (deceased, unfortunately) was androgynous a bit and looked somewhat like Tommy.
That expression on Adam's face didn't hit me at the time, since I didn't know how he normally looked. Now it does. He looked so angry, just burning up, ready to explode, and then at the end so mad and disappointed. Glad to say we have never seen that look again. As for me, I was fascinated.
