OK, then, next year at the VMA's how about Adam and Miley doing a duet? I mean a real duet, something classy. Quality vocals, no lions or tigers or bears..or leashes. Throw the VMA's into a total seizure..kinda like Kamar's avi is doing right now..  Interesting idea. But the problem is bolded. How could that ever happen?  , c'mon..you know Adam and Miley could do a worthy vocal together. Watch them collab in the next year. Mark my words..it's gonna happen now. |

Graciejane...I saw that a day or two ago and thought the same thing you are thinking but actually, that isn't Thicke's hand. If you look closely, you will see it is a left hand, not the right one that we don't see of Thickes. Just an odd coincidence that there is a blonde behind them getting fingered..... I'm seeing a right hand. |

Graciejane...I saw that a day or two ago and thought the same thing you are thinking but actually, that isn't Thicke's hand. If you look closely, you will see it is a left hand, not the right one that we don't see of Thickes. Just an odd coincidence that there is a blonde behind them getting fingered..... I'm seeing a right hand. I am no good at the mirror image thing, but that looks like a match on the girls purse as well as the hand. |

It looks like the mirror-reflected image of thicke's right hand to me. Which would look like a left hand, wouldn't it? That is a mirroe behind him - see the flash reflection - and i'm sure that's her back, which would make him a major creep. |

I have no doubt that the AMA producers wanted a controversial performance from Adam. After 52 Idol concerts where the audiences on both coasts and everywhere in between madly cheered his sexy, kinda dirty antics on stage, I think Adam overestimated the appeal of that kind of performance for the TV audience. I don't think there was anyone advising Adam that had his best interests at heart. (Thinking of Lee and Scarlett telling an overly enthusiastic Adam that, no, he can't have flames coming out of his fucking head.) At this point, I'd like to add that ABC totally threw Adam under the bus. They got everybody talking about the AMAs and they got Adam to take the blame for the criticism.  |

Not because I'm impervious to pop culture silliness (because I'm really not), but I simply wasn't in the mood for over-the-top, over-hyped award shows that evening. I live on Twitter and Facebook, so I immediately heard about it, of course. I heard about it that night, the next morning, and well into the following evening. For a world so often accused of having a short attention span, we sure know how to dwell on the inconsequential and unimportant. more . . . |

I hated the AMA performance and was really worried for him after. In retrospect, I can see that is was kind of a perfect storm. So much pressure to close the show; not to mention that the song was pretty much tanking on radio and I think the performance was seen by many as a last ditch effort to save it. Add to that, it was, I think, the very first time that Adam and band had performed the song live in front of an audience. And it showed. FYE is a very difficult song to sing anyway, and then he had a whole jungle-gym to run around on.
I still haven't watched the whole thing, I had to shut it off after he fell, it was too much to take---I still get a queasy feeling in my stomach when I think about it
But, it's over and Adam has moved beyond it

Saw on E News Thicke said it wasn't rehearsed like that and he felt uncomfortable, denying any knowledge or fault so like Adam she will shoulder the repercussions alone with the exception Adam defended her first. Yesterday, it was totally against Miley but today even though there still are some disgruntled, there has been a mind change. I'm not condoning her but in her defense, she is young and there have been plenty others with raunchy dancing and not much said. Did I like the performance? No but as said by others MTV VMA's are known to have provocative performances so why bring kids or allow them to watch it. As Adam said, we are talking about it which was also stated on E news also. Adam was right and I'm thankful he has the balls to stand up for her unlike Thicke who has tucked tail to hide behind Miley. I think that she talked to Seacrest and she said adrenaline took over which is probably true. Just an opinion for what it's worth
