Guess I'm just feeling contrary this morning - but Will Smith knew this was the MTV awards and this show is always raunchy and push-the-envelope for shock value. This is not a Disney show. Maybe he should have shown better judgement and not brought his children to the show and then they all would not have had to sit there looking so horrified. So there. heh. And I loooooove sultry Adam. He was so incredibly gorgeous.

I must say that I feel a little sad on Miley behalf. I'm sad that she maybe thinks that there is no other way for her to be noticed as grown up artist, I'm sad that this entire news storm about her performance seems to confirm that she is right. And maybe Adam is right and we should leave Miley alone. Logged in to comment: I don't watch much TV, and the little bit it was on today I saw shows still talking about Miley. And some of the people/parents were complaining about "Hannah Montana"... blah, blah, blah and oh the children... So yeah, she has an uphill battle to shake that role. I don't agree or disagree with how she is doing it, except to say that at my age now I cringed a bit, but if I were here age - I don't think I would give a shit, and probably would have laughed at how stupid and outrageous it was. But I delurked to say this: Perhaps Adam is trying to deflect a little for Miley because he has been there - the shit storm following a performance. So if anyone understands, seems Adam would. And perhaps he wished someone would stand up and show him some support when the shit hit his fan - but don't recall anyone did. He was all alone, except for his stellar fans! Us! So I admire Adam for having the balls to come out and say something, even if he gets some of the Miley shit... And then, as now, some will probably unfollow him, but life will go on. Miley will act out until she matures a little more and finds her place. I tend to root for the Underdog - hence fighting for Adam - and so the same applies for Miley. I think underneath it all, she is a good person, at least I hope so. Adam lived through it and so will Miley... Also, this is cable and people can turn the channel. If my son were still young and in the house and I knew he saw this - perhaps this is a good opportunity to start a conversation. There is a much bigger issue here - the glorification of women for the use of male pleasure and etc... and if this starts that type of conversation then in the long run could be helpful. Remember how people felt after Adam's performance and all the shit he got - but the conversation at ensued was, in the long run, a good thing. I always say... wait 6 months and look back - then we will know if it has any significance or was suppose to happen to start a larger dialog... Personally, I am more upset about Robin T role in this and he is not getting any flack - is he? He is much more sleazy IMHO then Miley and he is the adult in that room... so where is the accountability. Am I a bad person that I am Happy that blurred lines didn't win anything:-) Rhetorical question there.... Heathcliff, I too am a contrarian:-)

Pressparty @pressparty 44mfoxvegas TOMMY JOE RATLIFF on indulging his love of blues with ADAM LAMBERT: 'He just gets it'. mrkt.ms/18YdUG1Tommy Joe Ratliff on indulging his love of blues with Adam Lambert: 'He just gets it'Guitarist Tommy Joe Ratliff has revealed that being part of Adam Lambert's band is a dream because not only does he love the music he creates with the vocal sensation, but they are also kindred spirits where musical influences and styles are concerned. During an interview with The American Blues Scene, Ratliff explained that working with Lambert is perfect because he has the kind of soul that's perfect for the genre: "Well ya can’t have a voice like Adam’s and not have a feeling for the blues. He’s totally about soul and funk, so he definitely gets the blues. That's what worked so well when I auditioned, I guess, is that we both have a very similar feel and, at the same time, we’re both really into make up and the glam rock." "It’s going to be 4 years in October and it’s still pretty damn surreal to me and still my main priority! I was originally on bass with him. He wanted more funk and blues so he switched me over to guitar." Read more.

In fact, I would lump her in with Bieber as yet another young person surrounded by a bunch of wussy adults who don't know how to tell her "NO." And they aren't helping her. She is a 21 yr. old with far too much money, fame, and ego and far too little common sense (and self respect, obviously)

8.15.13 UPDATE NEW REMIXES of Aftermath & Trespassing! Aug 16, 2013 at 1:46am
Post by Lucas_Country ClubMartini Crew on Aug 16, 2013 at 1:46am Hi everyone!! I'm the guy who did these acoustic versions, I came across this forum and, first of all, I would sincerely like to thank EACH and EVERY one of you for all the kind words, over here and on Twitter! I'm truly extremely happy that these Adam versions - some of my favorite ones out of all the acoustic remixes I've made - finally got to be heard by his fans and that you guys are enjoying it!
Aftermath especially - it would kind of piss me off that while originally recorded a 5+min track with so many vocals and harmonies, a full choir (!) behind it and a gorgeous string accompaniment, so much of it was left out of the final mix and had never seen the light of day!
For Aftermath, as pointed out, I've used his unprocessed vocal, along with the acoustic guitar and the live strings for the last chorus. For Trespassing, I've put them on top of the instrumental of "Metal & Wood" by Tyrone Wells (such a cute song!) - the difference there is that all vocals are in the album mix, many of them unfortunately buried among all these layers.
I can't wait to finish more acoustic versions for other tracks, and hope you enjoy these too! Once again, my most sincere THANK YOU to all of you!!

They were homeschooled on sets, or in studios, and have no concept of appropriaate socialization, and most of all do not understand boundaries or curfews. They have been catered to and coddled, and now in the adult world they do not have concepts of boundaries. This is all unfortunate, but both will learn the hard way, at some pretty heavy prices. Money does not buy what they need, but they sure have a lot of it.

Heathcliff, I too am a contrarian:-) Yes! Robin Thicke actually ground his crotch on a young girl's butt, and it's all about Miley in the press. Why more people aren't seeing this sexist double standard is beyond me. He's 16 years older than her. He should not have been performing with her knowing what she was going to portray. He came across as sleazy, not her.
