I think what bothers me is someone like Katy Perry, a straight cute pop artist, can sing song lyrics like 'I kissed a girl and I liked it' and it is deemed 'cute and fun' and gets played on radio all the &^%$#*% time and helps launch her to big time 'pop star status'. Adam, a gorgeous out and proud amazing gay artist, has a 'cute and fun' song that has the lyrics 'There HE goes my baby walk so slow' in it and he can't even get his record company, much less radio, to endorse it. Why....IMHO...because he is a gay male artist. I'm betting if Katy had put out Fever it would have been played all the time on radio and been a big hit. Adam has such an uphill battle to fight every friggin day!  This is all my opinion, of course. Yes and Adam does it with a smile on his face.... IMHO,He will never give in or give up... good thing he is contrary,LOL . The pop music world ain't easy ,especially for a sexy gay singer.. soooooo scary ![]() |

When I try to listen to Kate's song, I feel like my throat is choked. Due to her voice that sounds like to me a very forced.![]()

Not only he is doing it at a GREAT cost, he is doing without support of his own community - THIS fact bothers me more than anything else to be frank. Yes he did get the GLAAD award, yes he did get invited to a couple of Pride events, but he did not and does not get support where it really counts in the business he is in, i.e. BUYING his music. Adam pretty much came out with the ODE to his community of an album and nothing, nada...no desire to REALLY support one of his own, to make a difference, to actually be proud for the FIRST OUT artist, etc, etc, etc.... it makes no sense to blame the radio execs, RCA execs and other PTB oldish white straight dudes and ignore the glaring lack of interest from the LGBT audience. It's a shame really. |

I mean can you imagine if one third bought his music.. |
