I don't wanna be a "glamhopper." That's ugly. Adam doesn't like "Glamberts" anymore? *sob* It's ok BB. I think it was ONE TIME THING.

Anyone have the stream link for Nile Rodgers at the iTunes Music Festival starting now? It's live on iTunes now. Go to the iTunes store and you should see it. I already had it open from watching Avicii playing LMD and the names of the artists are listed on the left side.. just click on Chic and a screen will open.

The show was adorable! I didn't know either that someone was going to live stream it. After the show they showed a clip where Sauli was sitting by the pool at the rooftop of the apartment building where he and Adam lived together (and where Adam still lives ofc). Quality of the Ustream was very poor, but here are live screencaps: lilybop2012.blogspot.com/2013/09/sauli-koskinens-best-friend-show-debuts.html

I don't wanna be a "glamhopper." That's ugly. Adam doesn't like "Glamberts" anymore? *sob* Adam did not say he did not like Glamberts anymore. He merely posted a play on words to the old Kung Ku TV Show like -- Patience Grasshopper -- and changed it to Glamhoppers. It is just a bit of fun for a while but Glambert is still the fan name. ** Separate from that -- I personally am not a fan of being a Glambert. I prefer being a person who is an Adam Lambert fan. Many fans love Glambert but it is far from unanimous. Well, except for loving Adam, nothing is unanimous in this fandom. Part of what makes it fun. ** On Maroon 5 and Adam Levine -- it appears that their/his fans are too cool to have a fan group name. There are some great fan group names -- Coldplay fans are Coldplayers; Grateful Dead fans are Deadheads.

I think the word glambert is such a natural spin off of glam and lambert that many people thought of it early on. Lyndsey Parker said at one point that she thought she was the first one to use it in print, but wasn't sure.
I was not an Idol watcher, but saw a couple shows, and read a few idol blog comments, after I discovered Adam. It was obvious that fans of different contestants could have quite a strong rivalry, so I wondered why some Danny fans referred to themselves as Dannyberts, and some Kris fans self-labelled as Krisberts. I kind of thought the bert came from lambert/glambert, but if that was the case, it seemed odd that other fans would attach it to their choice's name, considering some of the wildly competitive attitudes at the time. I always wondered if bert had been a suffix that had been around for a while, prior to Adam being on Idol.
peace&love

I always wondered if bert had been a suffix that had been around for a while, prior to Adam being on Idol. peace&love Yes, Lyndsey used Glambert independently of Perez but her post was after Perez'. I have these old posts somewhere. Since Glam and Lam rhyme, it is easy to believe that many people could combine these words without seeing it anywhere else. Lyndsey used it after it was on AO.com. And there is no way to know how it got to AO.com -- because of Perez' blogpost or also independently or from West LA. The "bert" suffix came from Lambert. And the odd use of the word by Dannyberts and Krisberts was part of a fan effort to say that Danny and Kris fans were just as fanatical as Adam fans. And because neither fanbase had a cool fan name -- or not one in broad use. The only other fan name that was in heavy use during the Idol period was Kradison -- fans of Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta. This fan combo almost got Adam knocked off Idol in the Top 5 because so many Adam fans who also were Allison fans voted for her to get her into the Final 4 -- leaving Adam in the Bottom 2 that week. That was the first indication that Adam's passionate fanbase might not be large enough for him to win against the core Idol audience who clearly prefer guitar playing white guys and country, soft rock and adult pop music.

I am now and forever a Glambert.. everyone knows Adam's fans by this fan name ..IMHO Adam might have been suggesting that we are jumping, Glamhopper, to conclusions which are not true in regards to Glee rumors.. play on word.. He's the master...LOL

Yes. I have resisted until now because I saw them twice in London -- but I did not have the will power to stay away! And OMG OMG OMG I am on the FLOOR! I am insane but happy. Oh Q3, you are very lucky woman. After Poland's and London's concerts, I swore, that the next time, wherever Queen and Adam will perform, I will go and see the show. I am sad that my dream was not realized . But I'm happy for you, who are traveling to Vegas! I am very happy for you Q3. Truly! And very, very, very jealous!

He's the master...LOL Yes, it was a very clever play on words and a great cultural reference wrapped into one tweet. Really so clever. Adam has written so great tweets and some excellent lyrics -- and I think we have not seen the best yet. *** I do not like labels so I doubt I will ever adopt any fan name. (But I no longer so NEVER when Adam is involved.) ETA: I just realized that I just made a play on words in a post about plays on words! I really do not like labels -- either kind.
