OK I have to say I was a little bit hesitant about looking at the ITune numbers today.. Adam is holding from yesterday dance #6 and over all best songs #56 So he's still doing GREAT However Hey Brother COUNTRY!COUNTRY! is forging ahead.. # 5 dance and # 38 overall. Country just seems to rule..don't ya know It sounds like Phillip's "Home", and yeah country! How is it selling when it isn't getting buzz like LMD? |

Because it is getting buzz --- I just heard someone talking in "real life" about the guy singing and his background story. And, like WMU, it is just a very popular sound right now in the mainstream. Luckily, LMD also has a sound that is popular right now, so it should do well if it gets released as a single at some point. |

Okay, I'm listening to Hey Brother - I guess it's catchy, but yeah, how is it different from Mumford, PP, Lumineers, etc. Yee-haw! I guess it will be a choice of whether they want to make a last-ditch effort to catch the (I hope) tail-end of this folk-country fad, or show versatility by going wi LMD. Of course I'm speaking from the POV of someone who isn't at all into country or bluegrass and absolutely hated Oh Brother Where Art Thou. That all being said, as regards buzz, when I just googled "Avicii hey brother" and "Avicii lay me down," Hey Brother had 8,450,000 results to LMD's 5,060,000.

Country is very popular but mostly I think it's selling well because it's in the same vein as Wake Me Up, which is a huge hit. If you like a song, you may check out the new album and download song(s) similar to the one you like. Both this song and LMD are doing very well, considering they are not singles at this point. I think Hey Brother will be a single but I think if AVICII wants to show the eclectic nature of the album, he'll release a different sound next...LMD would be perfect :D! (no idea about YMM - personally it's the only track on the album I truly dislike) |

One day I started my vintage Porshe Carrera and found someone had left it in gear. It ran into a rack of paint cans in my garage in slow motion - right out of a movie. Interesting tie-dye effect. Funny as hell now, 10 years later. How does this relate to Adam? He should have been driving that cool car during the Trespassing era - yellow & black would have been perfect to complement his cool vibe colors for that album.

In Germany "Hey Brother" gets the most buzz and is currently on #34 overall, although we haven't got a lot of country lovers or listeners here. I think the song simply connects with people. LMD isn't doing that well here, it is on #185 overall. Of course this will change if LMD is released as a single  |

It will be interesting to see the approach Avicci takes in terms of singles in the US. Will he go with the song that's charting a little better and has the same vibe as his huge hit WMU (and maybe run the risk of being pigeon-holed as some kind of folk/country EDM guy). Or, will he branch out and release something totally different?

Next step : Music Video .Oh , and about Adam requesting some changes to his Glee character : Totally normal and cool and I don't get why the little wank was about . I understand why he might have had a little problem with the "Drag" thing . As much as I don't mind seeing Adam perform a song on glee in drag (but just one song , don't want the whole thing to be drag) I know that it's not the best thing to do . And while , for me , one performance would be hilarious and funny and crazy , I know that some people , even Adam fans , wouldn't like to see him in drag in a TV show . And that's totally ok . And I guess Adam didn't like the idea and had every right to change the character somehow . All is good !I had lots of fun imagining the whole thing ,tho !!!And yeah . He's not gonna sing "Judas" ? No "JUDAS !! JUDA-AH-AH" Then ? Ah well . I like Applause better , anyways I would like him to sing lots of songs on Glee .
