I recorded QAL with 3 different devices. The best recording has been uploaded in MP3 format. I will be uploading the other 2 recordings in the next day or 2 - I'll post another notice then. You can find them at (copy & paste full link into browser address bar): mega.co.nz/#F!nF8UUDRC!cYAN3gW1be5XHMQfVev7XQlink These MP3 files are converted to MP3 from the original WAV format, but otherwise unprocessed, e.g., I did not increase the volume of the recording. I will do some processing to increase the volume, provide individual song files, & provide more formats. When I split into individual song files, I will do it in a way that does not give a audible gap between tracks. I will also provide a CD image that can be downloaded in 1 file (about 350 MB) and burned to CD in 3-4 easy clicks on Windows 7/8 or Mac (Windows XP requires a software program to do this). But first I want to try to filter out the high frequency squeals (from the mic, guitar, or amps?), one at the end of WWTLF and the other near the end of the set. If you want to do any editing of these files, or mixing them with video, and post them for others, please let me know first as I might have already done it and not posted the file or I may have plans to do it. If you know someone with good video who would be agreeable with mixing their video and my audio, please let me know.

MJ used to say something similar - about how the stage was the only place he truly felt at home and like himself...

MJ used to say something similar - about how the stage was the only place he truly felt at home and like himself... I'm tellin' ya... Adam saying "My happy place... Where I feel the most like Me" just did me in. I was trying to imagine standing on a stage performing = singing your heart out in front of 10,000 people, and feeling like this is the ONE PLACE that feels right and gives you true happiness, that feels like "home" for your very soul... and it just boggles my mind.

Hi all.. I am usually just reading here only. Just wanted to share a video I recorded at Avicii's show at XS in Vegas this past Sat night. I was right in front of him... He closed the show with "Lay Me Down" at 3:30am. I was there for 5 hours and waiting to record this.. My iPhone got only 12% battery left but I did it. www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201500751633581I made this public to share. Monica Thanks for the recording, Monica....AND..... To Adamtopia!!!!!!!!!!

This is exactly my reaction to Adam's latest tweet. Beautiful, yet sad. It reminds me of the time when he was a little boy and he was trying to explain to an interviewer why he liked performing and he responded by saying it made him feel so great to know he could affect an audience just by singing and playing a part on the stage. Later on,in his teens, he said if he could do this for the rest of his life, he would be a happy man.
I hope that Adam finds peace and love in his personal life as well--and I really think he has, in his loving family and friends who embrace him wholeheartedly. I just want the world to accept him and appreciate his extraordinary, loving soul. As I have written several times before,Adam reminds me of those lyrics that Don McClean sings in his song VINCENT {song about Van Gogh} The world was never meant for one As beautiful as you.... Sweet dreams from San Diego-----

It's beautiful - and at the same time it's kinda sad.... I feel exactly the same. I KNOW!!! I feel the same, but I'm trying to figure out WHY! When Adam says that I think it's awesome yet sort of sad at the same time. Wonderful yet kind of heartbreaking. But then I was thinking... how about an artist who only feels she's in her happy place when she's standing in front of an easel slapping paint on a canvas... that's when she's the MOST AUTHENTIC. Know what I mean? We have musicians on this forum... How about you guys? Do you feel your happiest, most authentic self when you're playing music? What about mountain climbers who claim to only feel truly "alive" when they're hanging on by their toenails scrabbling up to the summit? Or a pilot who's always been passionate about flying and the cockpit is the one place that feels like "home." I dunno. All of this fascinates me. Do we just feel sad/happy about Adam's statement because we all know what a struggle/uphill battle it's been for him over the years? I have to think about this whole issue some more. ETA: I guess what I'm wondering is this: If you truly LOVE doing something and you're good at it, if you have a long-standing passion in your life, wouldn't you say that when you're doing that "thing" you are feeling "the most like ME" like Adam said? Is it just "the arts" that make people feel like this... like Adam? In the past, Lynne has spoken so passionately about teaching and her students. I wonder if Lynne feels in her "happy place" in the classroom!
