And it's after 3 a.m. and I'm going to bed ![EyeRollSmiliey](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/icon_rolleyes.gif) but I have a question. In yesterday's thread adamrocks posted some old tweets from shoshanna: ![](http://i819.photobucket.com/albums/zz119/fajaraseoul/ZQUEENBERT/shosh_zps607e2592.png) I have a vague murky memory that Brian actually said something about his reaction when he first heard Adam sing WWTLF. Does anyone else remember this? Am I hallucinating? Gawd... I would have KILLED to be in that rehearsal room when Brian first heard Adam open his mouth and start to sing that song. I will look for it later. I know I have it. He said something about being completely unprepared for the impact of Adam's interpretation of WWTLF

This is exactly my reaction to Adam's latest tweet. Beautiful, yet sad. It reminds me of the time when he was a little boy and he was trying to explain to an interviewer why he liked performing and he responded by saying it made him feel so great to know he could affect an audience just by singing and playing a part on the stage. Later on,in his teens, he said if he could do this for the rest of his life, he would be a happy man. I hope that Adam finds peace and love in his personal life as well--and I really think he has, in his loving family and friends who embrace him wholeheartedly. I just want the world to accept him and appreciate his extraordinary, loving soul. As I have written several times before,Adam reminds me of those lyrics that Don McClean sings in his song VINCENT {song about Van Gogh} The world was never meant for one As beautiful as you.... Sweet dreams from San Diego----- Agree with Every word, Lorraine, and yet, at the same time, Adam is SO LUCKY to HAVE this place in his life! He has fulfilled and is continuing to live his own dreams! What a blessing! The Lambrits @lambritsuk 1h Watching WWTLF from far away and fella on left in the red shirt. & his reaction to Adam Lambert youtu.be/1mzOze5LEPc by suebluernWhat a great video! Just listening and watching that guy in the red t-shirt made my cry all the way through! Tears os happiness. ....it's Adam's HAPPINESS penetrating our souls, MAKING US HAPPY! HE SHINES! HE IS THE SUNSHINE! ![]()

I KNOW!!! I feel the same, but I'm trying to figure out WHY! When Adam says that I think it's awesome yet sort of sad at the same time. Wonderful yet kind of heartbreaking. But then I was thinking... how about an artist who only feels she's in her happy place when she's standing in front of an easel slapping paint on a canvas... that's when she's the MOST AUTHENTIC. Know what I mean? We have musicians on this forum... How about you guys? Do you feel your happiest, most authentic self when you're playing music? What about mountain climbers who claim to only feel truly "alive" when they're hanging on by their toenails scrabbling up to the summit? Or a pilot who's always been passionate about flying and the cockpit is the one place that feels like "home." I dunno. All of this fascinates me. Do we just feel sad/happy about Adam's statement because we all know what a struggle/uphill battle it's been for him over the years? I have to think about this whole issue some more. ETA: I guess what I'm wondering is this: If you truly LOVE doing something and you're good at it, if you have a long-standing passion in your life, wouldn't you say that when you're doing that "thing" you are feeling "the most like ME" like Adam said? Is it just "the arts" that make people feel like this... like Adam? In the past, Lynne has spoken so passionately about teaching and her students. I wonder if Lynne feels in her "happy place" in the classroom! I don't find his comment sad ,I find it lovely. He is so fortunate to have found a place that he is so passionate about.. How many of us search our whole lives to find a life's work,a place that so fulfills us and makes us feel alive.IMHO not sad Adam lucky Adam. He's an artist and the art of singing is his life's work..

Maybe he meant just what he said - that singing on a stage is where he feels most like himself and where he is happy - I can certainly see how that could be true without meaning other parts of his life are in some way left wanting.

Yes! I was thinking about you and your passion for photography! :-*Were you passionate about photography from a young age? I was thinking this: I was thinking how lucky Adam is that, from such an early age, he knew what he loved and what he wanted to do. I mean, how rare is it to have that kind of passion when you're only in elementary school! And how lucky he's been to always have love, support, and encouragement from his family! And how friggin' fabulous for him that he's gotten to perform with Queen and write his own music and travel the world doing what he loves,...what he was fucking born to do! How many of us even remotely approach that? Hell, I'll be dead before I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. ![EyeRollSmiliey](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/icon_rolleyes.gif) So, it was interesting for me that, even knowing all the above, I still felt this little stabby twinge in my heart when he said "My happy place... Where I feel the most like Me." Maybe it was because I immediately thought, "Oh, poor bb... Adam can never really be his authentic self in any other situation." Maybe I was thinking, "Yes, on the stage he is utterly sure of himself. He is in his element and gets nothing but accolades, but in "real life", in the humdrum off-stage life, he feels only half alive, or maybe even feels rejection." Maybe that's why I felt that heart twinge. I have no idea. ![BigLaugh](//storage.proboards.com/3270318/images/qbrnqbsXzTklFWaXaRQQ.gif) I am a very passionate person and my whole life I felt that I was missing something where I could channel this passion into. And then 5 years ago I fell in love with a camera. And since then I feel complete ![:))](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/Other%20Smileys/greenstars.gif) I know that it's a privilege to feel this way - I know a lot of people who are still searching for their passion... Adam discovered HIS passion when he was a child. And what makes him so special is that he has the talent and the abilities according to his passion. What would have happened if he would have grown up in a family that hadn't supported him like his family did? Or if his passion would have been more into soccer (okay, I know that you are eyerolling right now *haha*)? Maybe we never would have heard this one-in-a-billion-voice. Greatness arises where passion meets talent!

I am on the Adam team..rooting for him to reach every goal he sets for himself. When Adam was asked which he would choose Love (he was with Sauli at the time) or his career? He said he wants both. No worries about a private and fulfilling life for our man.. He wants both and IMHO he will have both. Q3 thanks for that splendid write up.. It was hard for me to stop crying, your words about Adam went straight to my heart.

DANCYGEORGIA - Thanks so much for creating the audio recordings for us.
I tried to access AFLs IheartRadio recording from your link and got an error message - "Decryption error/invalid key". Do I need to create an account first? Or need a login/password to access? Here's the link I tried to use: mega.co.nz/#F!nF8UUDRC!cYAN3gW1be5XHMQfVev7XQlink

Q3, great recap! As I mentioned in the dedicated concert thread a few days ago, he did change a word in WWTLF which for me made it better. You posted the original lyrics as There's no time for us, There's no place for us,but he actually used There's no time for us, There's no SPACE for us,which I find really fantastic since time&space are connected according to Einstein and there was an astrophysicist playing guitar on that stage ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) This elevates the song from the Earth's surface where time and place (2D coordinate + time = 3 dimensions) are important for specifying a location into a more universal 3D+time = 4D - there is no place in the entire Universe for us!!! Oh you are right! That is a good change. But the other change --- was just like stuffed in there.

Thank you for the Avicii recording, monica!
Regarding Adam's tweet ... it can be both beautiful and sad at the same time. I do creative work as a writer, not as often as I'd like. Most of my work is business writing. When I do creative work, I truly do feel the most like Me. I enjoy it when the writing is well received, but it is during the creative process itself that I get this feeling.
I think many performing artists share Adam's feeling. There are even a few ... Hank Williams comes to mind ... who seem to have almost disappeared as a person when they were not on stage. Willie Nelson shares Adam's feeling to the extent that he essentially lives on his tour bus even when he is not touring, out in the yard of his home.
Since GNT, Adam actually does not perform live nearly as often as any other performer I have ever been a fan of. Sometimes I have wondered why, especially because it is his joy in life and anyone can see that. Perhaps like me other aspects of his career have taken precedence. That can be part of the sad part.
The other sad part comes for those of us who remember people like Hank, Elvis, or MJ who really did neglect or were incapable of living a satisfying life off stage. I am really not worried about this for Adam. He seemed to have a fully realized emotional life. I think for a person like Adam, he will need to find someone who can essentially be in a polygamous relationship with Adam's stage life ... this seems to be what works for born performers like Adam and often a bit later in life.
Overall a very touching statement from Adam this morning.
