I hope Adam hasn't become addicted to tats. I mean - what's next - sleeve the other arm and then his back and chest and then they start coming up his neck. Fans complain about Melvin cause they say his beautiful face is covered. Well, facial hair can be shaved off. When a tat is there, it's there. And I see his tats as covering up his beautiful arms. I can't see the "beauty" in body-covering tats that so many speak of - not at all. *sigh* Tats today are really, really popular with all walks of life. They even have a tat competition on TV like Project Runway. As long as Adam doesn't do anything to harm his health nor hurt other people, then I'm OK with what Adam wants to do. I know tats are really popular, and I have watched the tat competition on TV. I still don't think covering ones skin with large dark images is attractive, especially when they all run together, as in sleeves. I think skin, especially on someone as gorgeous as Adam, is much more beautiful devoid of huge limb-covering "art." JMHO...

For myself, I would only consider having a tattoo made from henna. It is temporary, lasting 1-3 weeks. They are popular among American Tribal style belly dancers. I've had henna tats a few times and they are great fun! You can experiment with imagery as well if you are considering a permanent tat. Trial before error.. One of my best friends' limbs are always covered in henna tattoos, ironically her only real one is on her side where not many people will see it

Adam can do whatever he wants. I can think whatever I want. My daughter got a big ugly tat a number of years ago. Looked terrible with her wedding dress and countless other situations. Has to be careful to cover her upper arm on job interviews and it goes on and on. Adam is a rock star. I get it. Personally, I hate tattoos. Always have and probably always will though always is a very dangerous word. I love skin and seeing skin. I think it is unbelievably sexy. For me (my opinion - no offense) large tattoos destroy that. I concede that a well placed subtle tattoo in a "peek a boo" place can be sexy but for large parts of the body - use body paint and wash it off when the urge to excessively decorate wears off which it most likely will. There I said it.

Adam has wisely chosen dark inks which can be removed with Q-switched lasers. (I love that name!!!) So if he decides he wants them gone, they can be removed.
But I like this sleeve so much better than the tattoo scrapbook look his arms were starting to have.

Chiming in late as usual - all the fan-tastic stories were fantastic As for the tattoo - I think I'll like it when it is fully visible - the only personal decoration that I really have an issue with are the earplugs that are the size of plates. THAT I have a major problem accepting. But to each his own - not my place to judge.

What worries me about tattoos is that they are permanent. They are very popular now, but styles change all the time. In the future if they are no longer considered "cool" they might brand you with a dated look, and unlike, for example a hippy cutting his hair, when styles change, you are stuck with a look you might not want any longer. Enjoyed all the fan fantasies today. It was hard to vote on just one. IMHO you are right only in one aspect - it's permanent, but only idiots tattoo themselves because it's cool and fashionable and I don't consider Adam as one of those people. Tattoos are no longer considered as some seasonal fashion - this is work of art, especially if design is original and tattoo artists is really good. Tattoo artists are respected right now as much as any other artist and their work can't go out of fashion more than Picasso's art. I would guess that a lot of people get tattoos because they are in style--right now. They are very fashionable--used to be sailors, laborers and certainly not "respectable" women got them. Granted, the trend is not a short season, but I'd be surprised if all generations of people are as into tattoos from this time onward, forever. Same with massive body piercings. Tastes change. Baggy, droopy pants on boys/young men have been in style for over a decade. But skinny jeans are taking over, and a pant crotch hanging down to the knees is looking old-fashioned in many crowds. Big padded shoulders in women's fashion was essential while I was a young woman. Now people laugh at that. To me all these are fashion trends. Some artists may be great and I hope people with their tattoos are going to be thrilled to wear them their entire lives. I'm not saying they are not legit artist at all. I see someone mentioned $15,000 to remove a gob of tattoos. If I had that kind of money, I'd rather do something else with it.

Well, it's approaching bedtime and we only have 8 pages today. DON'T MAKE ME SPAM to get to 10 pages, which is my "feel good" number.
