NoAngel @noangelpf 41sTY! RT @14gelly: Transcript of iHeart Festival backstage w Queen: Brian: We have a chance to do great tl.gd/n_1rpc2q6 via lynneville Transcript of iHeart Festival backstage with Queen:Brian: We have a chance to do great things with Adam Lambert. He really is a wonderful foil for us, so it's a kind of gift from heaven, really.Roger: I think even since we did a short tour of Europe with Adam, and even since then he's just come on, he's just amazing. He's such a great interpreter of our songs and he has a great stage presence and we really enjoy working with him. Biran: It's a lot of fun, too. He's nice to work with. He's fun and light and he doesn't have any airs and graces and we feel like a family. It's nice. INV: How do you bring those two energies together. You have been together forever and Adam... Roger: Whiskey Brian: It wouldn't happen with, you know, a billion other people, but it just works with him. It's comfortable and nice, and challenging, also, because he puts different interpretations on the songs, so it gets us to play a little differently. So, it's nice, it's alive. Really amazing to read this. I can hear the change in Brian's guitar breaks but to read him say it is inspired by working with Adam is just WOW!!

Well it's good that Adam opened it up for everyone who wanted to say their preference but I still agree with Adam that you shouldn't have to "announce". Anybody who couldn't tell by the show only needed to look online so I disagree with the main gal they interview.I'm one of those who did not "notice" anything about him that I'd call gay. I finally saw a couple kissing photos but didn't look any farther than that online for awhile. For all I knew those were photos from a show (theatrical) or a few straight guys acting crazy for the camera. So even though I didn't assume one way or another, no one should have to announce it. I'm still not sure why he and others say it was so obvious on the show. I've decided I'm either really dense or pretty open minded. You mean, "I don't know very many men who wear nail polish", "I think you are theatrical", "I liked dress up, not soccer" weren't clues? lol I was online so early in the process that year that I don't remember when I "knew". I think a some people may have guessed during his audition with the facial expressions and closed eyes during his singing. I think Jacob from TWOP was one of those. I may not have felt it until I read it. And I don't remember what performance led my hubby to say "I bet he's gay" but by that time I answered yeppers.

Cannot type outside the box. Alex, a foil in drama is when a character differs from another character enough to bring out the other's special qualities. The term comes from the old practice of backing gems with foil in order to make them shine more brightly. Junie, I moved you into your own box. Great explanation about making the gems shine more. In drama wouldn't the foil be something like without the bad guy you wouldn't need a hero? But perhaps that's too adversarial and better examples would be the comedian and the straight guy, Tonto and the Lone Ranger, Batman and Robin, Andy Griffith & Barney Fife. I think those are perfect examples. The most classic is Holmes and Watson.

They did show Jared Leto's version of Stay, which I thought was great by the way. OT but thought you guys might enjoy this Nate Ruess quote that I found on Wikipedia. "Nate states, "I'm not one to take lessons, so I decided that the only way I was going to learn how to sing, if what they were saying was true, was to go in my car and put on any sort of music from a vocalist that might be really hard to mimic, turn it on as loud as possible and try to hit all those notes." Nice to see all that work paying off. Except, I thought I heard that he is now having medical vocal issues from putting too much stress on the vocal cords. Just hitting the notes is not enough. You have to know how to do it right so as to not damage your vocal cords. I was trying to decide if Juniemoon was being a tad sarcastic. Not sure. ETA: HA! I just read Junie's next post--she was being sarcastic. Whew!

Adam's friend Markus tweeting about tonight at Bootys Bellows. It's Markus part owner of this place? MARKUS MOLINARI @mdmolinari 2hExcited my friend @samuellarsen is performing tonight @bootsybellows #bootsybellows purrfect way to… instagram.com/p/e8EGz6MZ2D/ Yes, Markus has some interest in BB (maybe not any ownership stake) and is one of the creators of Bootsy Bellows. The public list of owners is -- "Bootsy Bellows Principals include; David Arquette, and entrepreneurs John Terzian (Shorebar, Las Palmas, Hwood, The Tea Room) and Brian Toll (The Beverly, SHOREbar)." So I believe those are the big three investors. And almost certainly there are other, silent investors. Here is what the BB website says about Markus -- "Molinari's expertise helped to create and launch such projects as the Shore Bar in Santa Monica, Bootsy Bellows Supper Club on Sunset Strip and the internationally recognized H. Wood Beauty Line of all-natural cosmetics and body products." So it never says he has an ownership stake, but everything points to it.
